It was a bad hire for Oregon. Either that or they really were running into problems getting better qualified coaches to consider moving to the middle of nowhere and coaching against resurgent Washington and USC plus some other pretty good teams in the Pac 12. Guy better bring a fire hose with him; the Ducks are a dumpster fire.

He's definitely an offensive guy, which, on the surface, looks like a good Oregon fit.

If he can get O to 8 wins next season I'd be highly impressed. The fact is O has to rebuild and it's gonna take time. What I'm interested in seeing is how patient the fanbase will be in allowing him to take the time he needs.

Shit! If he can just pull O more talent out of Florida and the south that's a big win.

He's an intersting hire. Big emphasis on offense kind of guy so that works for what Duck fans expect. I'll be interested to see what his final staff looks like. He cant really be judged by this recruit class, but he'll have to show big improvement by next years which will be a true test of can he recruit for a P5 program.
They said Petersen wouldnt be able to and he proved everyone wrong. Taggert will have to earn that cred as well. Expect him to bring in some staff that know the west coast recruit pipelines.
