That’s why they like him.
Teams so far from contention need to trade some value for multiple pieces of value
This one is more realistic. The Pirates exist to be the farm system for everyone else, it seems. I could see them flipping this guy while his value is high.

Stanton's supposed to be activated Friday (has been eligible to be activated since Tuesday)

What's up with all these oblique injuries nowadays? You never really had these in injuries back in the day.....Maybe being out of shape with a beer gut was the way to go.....It's worked well for me.....

Right? They used to tell ballplayers back in the day NOT to lift weights because they thought it would rob them of flexibility and quick twitch muscle memory.

I remember jacked-up Robin Yount looking very out of place in the Brewers team photos. Now it's the reverse.

Exactly, we lifted with the nautilus machines, went to the Yogi Berra Racquetball Club and did workouts based on flexibility.....Now these guys want to look like bodybuilders and injuries are happening way too often....

ML debut today for Alex Manoah today vs Yanks.

Very excited to see what this kid has.

Hopefully Vladdy can hit a few more bombs for him

He is one large unit.

He tore through the Yanks line-up pretty well back in ST. I think at one point he K'ed 6 in a row.

If him and Pearson can reach their potential it sure helps this teams pitching issues moving forward

sure glad they traded beni :suds:

Red Sox optioned OF Franchy Cordero to Triple-A Worcester.

Cordero seemed like a nice offseason addition for Boston, but he'll head to the minors to work on his craft after slashing just .179/.228/.274 with one home run and 37 strikeouts in 34 games played. The path to regular playing time is even more clear now for Danny Santana, who's shown well since his callup last week

Took too long to make this move. Also, not sure why you miss Benintendi so much? He’s very mediocre(.4 WAR this year) and they still have prospects coming in that deal.

Yanks call up Florial, who was a top 50 prospect once upon a time.

He's hitting a combined .203 between AA and AAA in 2021.

The cupboards, they are bare.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone confirmed Thursday that Aaron Hicks (wrist) is likely done for the season.

Hicks underwent surgery recently on his left wrist and the recovery timetable will apparently stretch into October. The 31-year-old outfielder finishes with a .194/.294/.333 batting line, four home runs, 14 RBI, and 13 runs scored in 32 games. He is under contract with New York through 2025 with a club option for 2026.
