I think the Warriors mistook Westbrook for Ben Simmons. I know I talk about him too much, but I thought this was ridiculous. When I saw it, I thought maybe he had nine assists and it was the end of the game and so they knew he wasn’t going to shoot. he’s not bad enough of a three-point shooter to leave a mess open besides playing mental games.

The strategy of leaving someone wide open by the 3 point line happens to various players, every now and then.

Bad Starts; Kylie Irving was 4-8 (12 games) to start this year with Brooklyn and now he’s 5-7 (12 games) to start his time with Dallas. Good thing they played the Jazz or else it would be 4-8 again.

By the way, not only does ESPN list the XFL with the NFL, they add the NBA All Star Game to the Game Logs. ‍♂️

Why did you randomly put the Mars male symbol in a post on national Womens' Day?

It was supposed to be a facepalm. But it changed when I pressed send and I didn’t notice.

But they should finish well:

Sure, playing the Bulls and Spurs will do that.

But looks can lead to overconfidence.

Or playing the Grizzlies without Morant two or three times is better than with Morant. Plus, Adams is gone for the regular season. 76ers and Kings are the only difficult ones. And the Kings might be resting a bit if no seed changes are in play for them.

I didn't know Basketball-reference had twitter.

Is this the best account you've found, or is that butt crack sports?

Brooklyn only had 3 offensive rebounds.

I can't recall a team ever having so few offensive rebounds, and similarly, such a low offensive rebound percentage (3/47).

Expectations have become reduced, since the start of the season. Expectations seemed loftier in November.

What would a "good" season now entail?

Making the play-in?

Making the playoffs?

Seven 1 point wins. With all of our one point losses, I wonder where we rank and number of one point games in a season.

No, my expectations are exactly the same as they were November - to be disappointed. But I was enjoying winning.

I said I would be disappointed with less than 45–37. So I stick to it. That’s too high, of course, but if you take out the 10–3, that’s 35–34. I think no matter what our talent level is, I’m always disappointed with less than 50%. Not that I expect better.

I wanted to finish at least 42–40 but when we lost the last game before the All-Star game because Markennan sat, I gave up on that. He may have sat because of a knee problem, but I took it as sitting to rest for the All-Star game. And that’s bullshit to me.

Right now, I see us going 6–6. Any game that we lose that we’re supposed to win will be made up by a game that we are “supposed to lose” or vice versa.

This is what I was getting at. I wanted to see what was still realistically possible to root for, given this point in the season.

I guess 42 wins, or 6-6 (which would be 40-42).

What about making the play-in, or play-offs? Which ones of those would make you happy, at this point in the season?
