Hightower is great, but Austin hasn't blitzed a linebacker yet. I think Austin believe's it would be an "illegal man upfield" if a linebacker got into the offensive backfield. Hightower is a run defender and pass rusher, so half of his talent would be wasted here. They could moved him to DE, but a position change is risky.

I think Austin had to play soft with the ridiculous lack of talent on that side of the ball.

I am really hoping Quinn focuses on defense this draft. So many bad ass safeties and cornerbacks this draft. I couldn't imagine being able to legitimately have a shot at Peppers or Adoree but the way it's going. Looks like both might be available.

If the secondary has to continually play 10 yards deep it wont matter who is on the d-line either. Its a catch 22. Need a little of both.

Darren Fells TE is a huge addition to the run game. This will help Wagner and Decker immensely. IMO second best signing behind Wagner. He will teach Ebron some techniques he can take to with him when he leaves.

The good news is that RG is the easiest position on the O-line to draft. Dont really need an early round pick to fill it. Plenty of slower guys who played RT in college that will make a nice RG in the pros.

I will chant this once he cuts Ngata and gets $5 mill in cap space. They were sitting at $19mill before the Lang signing.

Many ways to create more space. Levy being designated a post June 1st cut will be one. Stafford's deal will be reworked before summer. Need $$ for Ziggy and Quin's new deals.

I see BQ looking at a blocking TE as must in FA.Unless he has his eyes on a late round TE in the draft.

Lang is a savvy veteran but is recovering from hip surgery and a broken foot. He most likely will miss most of training camp.
