Really happy to see Duffy control his pitches from the bullpen. That's really been his main problem from the get go. Hopefully he continues to show control from the pen until he is moved to the rotation.

That was great! Shields looked pretty damn impressive with 12 Ks. Got the bats going a bit. Now we need to take revenge on the Twinks!

Maxwell is really worrying though in CF defensively with Dyson going on the bereavement list. And Dyson already was a big step down defensively from Cain. That and Maxwell has yet to prove in a meaningful sample that he can hit RHP. Then again, do we really want to try Aoki in center?

Ventura and Vargas are looking pretty good next to Shields...Now if Billy Butler wants to stop thinking he is the best hitter of all time and just see the ball, hit the ball maybe things will roll.

Will give credit, Infante, when playing is at least hitting the ball, definately a bit of veteran presence is nice.

Kind of in a crappy spot with this lineup and 2015. Can't sign a ton of guys that would be worth it. I still think we are forced to pick up Butler's option as there isn't going to not be a truly better hitter for 5-11 million rolling around in FA. And no, we are not getting Headley in FA no matter how many times it gets thrown around.


Good news is Jorge Bonifacio will be here sometime in 2015. Mondesi might not be that far behind if he continues to make big leaps. Again, this organization seems to answer the hitting woes on this team with... more pitching.

Jeff Keppinger is officially out in the market...perfect veteran utility back up for 2b,3b,ss...doesn't strikeout at all, solid defense, veteran presense (sorry Ceraco) and we can fix a mistake since we let him go early on and would have benifited us in his career.

have you noticed the SP improvement with a veteran of Shields in it, but the Royals don't have a veteran hitter (infante??? when he is available)...instead of Ceraco, Hayes, Dyson as back ups they should get some veteran back ups that will calm the youth down.
