Janowicz is for real. I think he will probably win a major eventually.

Without a doubt! Novak better watch out whoever makes the final against him! JJ will be in the top 20 next week with a lot of upside! Good for him! I saw him take out Murray in Paris last year! AM had that strange series of matches where he had match points and lost 3 matches; one to Nole with a btw the legs save; maybe in Shanghai! :noidea:

If he gets through this match, I'll be happy for him, but saying the only person who can beat him on grass is himself is categorically moronic.

It's obvious when people who have never played the game before try talking about it. :)

Wrong douchebag. I am a highly rated USTA player and have been for quite some time. :finger:

And JMDP lost because he did not have the legs as I predicted several pages back.

JMDP ran around like a gazelle today and could not possibly have played any better. He was pulling some of that old Murray/Nadal junk where he would limp around when losing points, and then run and hit lights out after that. He did it for 5 sets today, and got beaten by a guy who also played extremely well, and was slightly better on the day

If you're a 5.0 player or above, there is no way you would make such the ignorant statement that JMDP "can only beat himself on grass".

More "meaningless" stats:

JMDP has never won a grass title.

JMDP has made it past the round of 16 exactly once in 6 tries at Wimbledon.

JMDP has never beaten Djokovic at a major.

JMDP is now 3-9 versus Djokovic.

JMDP just made his first semifinal at a major in almost 4 years. I'm ecstatic for him, and hope he builds on it because he's a class act and an exciting player.

Yeah, man, I agree.

He needs to focus his energy on what he can control right now, or this could get away from him in a hurry.

I'm going to respond to your comments in bold

1) Yes he never won a grass title but you make it seem like grass court season is as long as clay or hard courts. In reality the players only play 1 grass court tourney excluding wimbledon and some of them do not even play the warm up tourney. I can guarantee you if grass court season was nearly 2 months long as clay court is that JDP would've won a few titles already.

2) How many times did he play at Wimbledon before his wrist injury?

3) They only played 4 times at majors

4) Yes he is 3-9 vs Novak but he's been playing better against Novak lately.

He's in control now. If he hold serve on his next 2 service games, he will be up 2 sets to 1 but now Murray has a break point chance

back on serve. My guess is they let them finish out the set then close the roof for the 4th.

Okay, thanks. I see what you're saying.

It's still idiotic to claim that JMDP can only beat himself on grass. There's no way around that, and I know you didn't say it.

I really love JMDP and wish nothing but the best for him, but let's not get carried away.

What a choke job this is. He can't get a first serve and now Murray has won the last 10 points until that one

So they will close the roof after this set and it will take about 25-30 min before they restart the match

Andy is heated but I do think it is best to close the roof now because of how long it takes. If they don't do it now, they may have to interrupt play during the middle of the 4th set for 20-25 min to close the roof.

Andy is such a liar. No way can they play until 930 without darkness playing a factor lol

Yeah, I agree. The roof needed to be closed or it would have probably had to be interrupted for closure in the middle of the 4th, which would be even worse.

Andy will either roll in the 4th set or it may go to a tiebreaker.

Oh please; the real choke job happened a couple days ago! Verdasco should have finished Murray off in straight sets! He's done it all too often playing against the top players and I feel for his fans to see this happen again and again; esp. against Nadal! No lead is safe with a lot of these 2nd and 3rd tier players!

This will be the first final weekend of Wimbledon in a long time where I will be equally happy with whoever wins the finals on the mens' and womens' sides.

Looking forward to these matches!

I want to see Murray win so I can stop hearing about Wimbledon not having a champ from Great Britain
