As we all expect, alot of DBs on that list. If Shanny drafts any less than 3 DBS, I will be disappointed. The draft is very deep at CB and S this year so we should be able to get some good players. I doubt Banks, Cyprien, and possibly Swearinger will be there when we pick at 51. If one of them is there, we should get them. I believe our 2nd, 3rd, 4th, rounders certainly could be spent on guys like Alford, Rambo (think he will be a stud), Poyer, Thomas, Williams, and Amerson (not listed).

Looks like they will focus on the OT, WR/TE, and LB positions rounds 5-7. Aboushi (who many thought a year ago was a 1-2 rounder) would be a solid pickup in the 5-6 range.

And being a VT homer, it would greatly please me if they got Marcus Davis in the 6-7th round and gave Vince Painter a shot as an UFA. These guys have so much untapped potential and freakish athleticism..Davis (and maybe even Painter) are worth a late round pick. Either one of these guys could end up being a total stud (if MD listens to the coaches and doesn't take plays off)...

It also would not shock me if Davis wasn't in the league for more than a year or two or didn't even make a team.

Sorry VT, just caught up today on what you wrote the last couple of weeks. I don't keep up on the draft because I'm really not up on all the players in the college ranks, so I can't really add anything substantial to the discussion. The hogshaven draft board spreadsheet was a pretty cool find though.

Most of us dont know too much about these players until we read up on them in mock drafts or wherever. I can only tell ya things about ACC players and big-name kids. I still think it's fun to follow though.

Glad to hear I still have some fellow Skins fans lurking around.

I agree. Heard alot of their names but rarely get to see them play during the course of the year. The NFL has done a great job of methodically organizing different off season activities to keep the interest up. Free agency >> Draft >> Mini Camp >> etc.

Several people saying the Skins were round 1 winners of the draft, even without a pick. Fewer DB's were taken than expected. It looks like we can grab a starting-caliber CB or S now with the 51st pick

S Phillip Thomas in the 4th.

Amerson seems like a solid pick. Just hope his propensity for making interceptions doesn't lead him to get burned if he's trying to make something happen. Reed the TE.. I dunno, I guess it's good we've got backup in case Davis or Paulsen gets injured? Looks like management wanted to go for someone who can definitely play in the NFL. Thought they would have gone for filling a greater need, but whatever.

Getting Phillip Thomas in the 4th, Brandon Jenkins in the 5th and Bacarri Rambo in the 6th are absolute steals.

This place has been dead for a while. Skins makin some news. Signed Devery Henderson and Donte Stallworth. Also signed John Potter who is a kickoff specialist. Doug Worthington and Deangelo Peterson were waived.

Just a short 43 more days till training camp.

I'll admit I'm in full-blown summer mode.. haven't really bothered to check on what the 'skins are doing. I'll have to amp that up by July to see what they're doing. Thanks, hokiehi21, for the update nonetheless.

Same here. I like the Henderson signing. Despite being the #3/4 WR in NO his entire career he has some decent stats. He has good speed and can stretch the field. I am not confident in a single WR on the roster outside of Garcon (assuming he can stay healthy). The more competition at that position, the better. It wouldn't shock me if that is the first position addressed in FA and/or the '14 draft. Disappointment after disappointment at that position in the last several years.
