Funny how Michigan fans are slamming Ohio State fans for saying they were the best team last year but most say they were a better team than Michigan State in 2015 when they were behind/even in nearly every stat but punting yards.

It's funny how this type of conversation still happens, even when a Michigan fan pays OSU a compliment. Regardless, your team hasn't won the B1G championship 6 out of 7 years. It's not a fluke like the 2011 SEC season....it's 6 out of 7. I don't disagree that OSU is better on paper, but the game is played on the field, and OSU has lost a game in the B1G every year in that stretch. It's cost them the B1G 6 out of the 7 years.

I also think you're missing something, PSU beat Ohio State head to head. They were the better team. Michigan couldn't be the best team, because they lost 2 games. So technically, PSU was better than Michigan. Now we can argue who would be better on paper, but PSU has a trophy that says otherwise.
PSU also lost 2 games so the 2 game argument does not hold water.
If it only matters in head to head then VT was better than tOSU in 2014. VT was better in one game than tOSU but when deciding better is the whole season taken into account or just one game?

And 5s are probably less "used" than 9s.
In my experience 5s thru 7s get the most run because dudes aren't scared to talk to them and most of them have low self esteem. I like to find the 9 that's hangoing out with a bunch of 5s and go talk to them. If I completely ignore the 9. That usually leads to them becoming more insecure ( which is why she's hanging out with 5s in the first place ). That generally leads where you want it to lead lol

You think OSU has 3 first rounders on their line? Michigan had the best line in CFB last year and is probably only going to have 1-2. In any event, OSU's rather new line last year handled the same situation reversed.
Barring catastrophic injury or some unforeseen regression, both Lewis and Hubbard are projected first rounders next year.

These were just from the first page of a google search for 2018 mocks. Nick Bosa is also widely expected to go first round, again barring some unforeseen catastrophe.

And LMAO at michigan having the best line in CFB. You're not Alabama, and OSU's was also better. Charlton is a beast, the rest was not elite.

unbiased national experts disagree with you. If not number one, then #2 only behind Bama. And the defensive statistics prove as much. Charlton and Wormley are high round 1/2 guys and Glasgow will go in the top half of the draft. That's not even accounting for the guys still on the team.

We are talking about the B1G conference right? VaTech and Pitt are in the ACC. The fact is that Penn St won the B1G conference last year, losing only one game. They beat OSU head to head. So the fact of the matter is that OSU did not win the B1G conference last year and has not won the B1G conference 6 out of the last 7 years. Thus your statement, "The B1G conference is Ohio State's to lose every year" is nearly true.

You can argue who the best team was last year, but most would agree the conference champ is most always considered the best team. Even more so, the team that wins head to head are often universally considered better when records are similar or the same.

Meh. 2016 is behind us. Your "top defensive line" couldn't do enough to lose less than 3 games, and now you have to deal with our superior line this year en route to another loss in The Game. Enjoy.

The point was important in this discussion because OSU was able to do against us last year (New line winning against top D-line), what you're claiming impossible for Michigan to do this year.

Yeah, there are many more reasons why you won't beat us this year though. We pretty much have the advantage over michigan at every position group this year. Not only that, but our coaches are simply better.

I think a good question would be which newcomer to the B1G will win it first, Rutgers, Maryland or Nebraska.

I'm not slamming anybody. Simply pointing out that if you want to brag about how, in conference play, the B1G "is Ohio State's to lose every year", then you might not like what 6 of the last 7 seasons says about that statement in the B1G.

Ohio State has had an amazing run, but conference championships is one area they just haven't been very good at recently. It didn't matter this past year, because they still made it to the playoffs...and lets be honest, that matters WAY more than a conference championship.

I thought we were talking about which team was the best. If we are shouldnt we take into account all games?

You say "most always" and I would agree but tOSU and the B1G seem to be out of that "most always" area.

Maybe it moved that way, and I didn't realize it, but here is where the discussion started:

Its is Ohio State's conference to lose every year.

Losing 6 out of 7 seasons means it "most always" loses the B1G conference. It's also hard to argue that OSU is the best team every year in the B1G when they don't win it most years for the best part of a decade. Again best team on paper, and on the field are often two separate things. Recently OSU has had A LOT of trouble winning enough games to be B1G champs lately.

Sometimes the better team loses a game. Who was the better team in 2011, LSU or Bama?

Ok, again...6 out of 7 years. Do you see a pattern happening here? Pointing to one year using the 2001 LSU and Bama situation doesn't erase the fact that over a 7 year period, they have failed the win the B1G championship 6 times.

So if we are back to Ohio States conference to lose every year. Wouldnt it be the team that is better paper, which tOSU has been for a while IMO, conference to lose regardless of the outcome?
