"Going full Romo"? I'm not familiar with the term. I'm assuming you are talking his playoff stats? Is it his career 93 passer rating in playoff games or his 8-2 TD to Int ratio you are looking to avoid?

Cause by end of seasons you surely aren't referring to the month of December, right? I'm sure it's not the fact that in the last December that he played (2014) he had the single highest December passer rating of any QB in history (133.7) and a 12-1 TD to Int ratio? Or the previous 16 December games from 2009 - 2013 in which he had a passer rating of 104.1 and a TD-Int ratio of 34-8. So since 2009 his Decembers yielded 46 TDs and 9 Ints. you definitely don't want that holding you back at the end of the year when you have Trevor Siemian...

Got me on those stats. I still say no to a 36 year old QB with back issues, not a complete season since 2012, making 25 mil a year for the next 3 years. We got by with it for Manning but Manning and Romo are not equal. Maybe if cowboys cut him, eat that massive dead money andwe can sign him to a more team friendly offer.

Looking to avoid a 2 year rental that gets us right back where we are today.

This would have been his year had he not been hurt. It could still be if Dak gets hurt.

I really think Denver would be a really strong fit. Last place he wants to go is Chicago or Jets or anyplace else the O line is below average.

That also took a ridiculous season by the defense to pull off. Hard to keep such a unit together and see them all healthy come playoff time like the Broncos had this past season. I think the Broncos are going to be a hard pass on Romo unless the contract makes it very friendly for him to be in Denver. He would have to come here for $10 million or less in my opinion.

IMO The back issues are the reason a team wouldn't want Romo if they decide to pass on him and the reason I've been hoping for his replacement for a while and something I can't contest as an argument. When he goes down you need a backup plan and you need to hope he is healthy for the playoffs or why bother. Not that it matters, but it was 2014 when he had his best season, not 2012, but that was three major injuries ago. Also without a restructure any team that traded for him would only be on the hook for his 2017 salary of $14M. No guaranteed money left. But, would he make it through the year? I don't know. There in lies the rub cause the guy can play and won't cost a lot relatively speaking...

No problem saying no to an aging QB, I just find it funny how so many football fans have the belief Romo chokes in December. it simply isnt true, the TEAMS he pkayed on choked and some blame belongs on his shoulders, but the the amount that the media has piled on

A decent QB changes the way teams approach things. Siemian is not putting any fear in the opponents. I think Romo would be just fine in Denver. And if I was Denver I'd want him. You'll go nowhere with who you have right now.

So do you think QB's cannot grow when they are young? Or do you think our 1st round pick Lynch is already a bust? I get that right now Siemian hasn't shown a ton but most in Denver viewed him as our transition QB for Lynch to be the starter next year. I can promise you those in Denver are giddy (actual word used by people inside the Broncos organization) by what they have seen from Lynch. They also know though that he needed a year to develop in the system and to be ready for the NFL which is why he isn't starting right now.

QB's will always get more praise than they should and more blame than they should. Just comes with the position. It also doesn't help that some of the biggest memories of Romo is a few late game mistakes. His botched snap on the field goal against Seattle comes to mind. For me as a Bronco fan one of the craziest games I have watched is the 51-48 game between our two teams. Romo had an incredible day but again what people will remember is his 4th quarter interception. Just seems once you get that kind of label those kind of mistakes are amplified.

How much of the money is Dallas willing to take on compared to the Broncos? We ran into this already when San Fran was trying to trade Kaepernick. The 49ers wanted the Broncos to take on more of the cap hit and the Broncos refused. They saw his value at around $7 million a season where the 49ers wanted the Broncos to cover $12 million. If we can get him at say $10 million a year then yeah I would be more than willing to see what he can do. Much more than that and the risk is way too much in my opinion.

Well I'm hoping that both sides are happy in the end. I"m excited by the potential of Lynch but obviously haven't had the chance to see much on the field. I really liked Dak going into the draft and I know he was next on the Broncos big board for the QB position so good chance we would have taken him in the 2nd if you guys had traded up and gotten Lynch. Not sure Dak is doing quite as well in Denver as he is in Dallas as the OL and running game can make life much easier on a young QB. Still he looks like a consistent starter that will be in the league for quite some time.
