I wouldnt trade Tex in a "dump", he was way too good for that...I wouldnt pick up much of the salary

In an ideal situation, I think they have to look at that, especially if they could bring back a young guy with some upside.......We know there is no way Tex is in NY after next season, so I think you have to look at it

I don't disagree. But you probably have to find him a home in the AL due to the DH and he also has to be willing to go there. Might be tough.

Oh, I agree. Shaw kind of came out of nowhere this year, while Bird was always considered a pretty good prospect. But Bird is also only 22. Even though he looked damn good this year, it wouldn't be a total shock to see him regress and need some more seasoning. That's why it might actually be good to have Tex around for 1 last season.

Cashman was just on Francesca and basically repeated what you said, Tex will be here next season

It was really me who thought entertaining trading him would be an idea to look into

The NL West was the highest scoring division in the NL this year.

3 of the 5 ballparks in that division are a pitcher's dream. Maybe only the AL West can match that, but they also have the DH. Jake Peavy, my man!

He rarely DH's so I'm not sure you need an AL team. With interleague he can get a blow DH'ing in the National League parks

I think they could probably move him in the last year of his deal, but I don't think they would want to eat the $$ to make it happen unless they were getting something really good back.

Yeah, it's tough with him because his glove is still so good. You WANT a guy like that to play 1B. The problem is that he's too brittle to do it anymore. He needs to DH at least part-time. He hasn't played over 125 games in a season since 2011.

They really need to stop using that phrase in baseball unless they want all of us sick fucks thinking about them sucking each others dicks.

LOL. SO true. Is it so hard to use the word "breather" instead? It's the same thing with the expression "put your finger in the dyke". Al Michaels used this one a few years ago and there were a lot of horrified folks after that.

Who do you think does more steroids, Alex Rodriguez or David Ortiz?

"Put your finger in the Dyke"

LMAO

The "Do you believe in miracles?" award for the best Al Michaels moment of this century
Not only did Al set up a crucial third down for the Cowboys defense by saying, "Now they're going to try to put the finger in the dike," but when they dropped the ensuing interception, Michaels yelped, "That would've been a pretty good finger in the dike!"

LOL!!!
