You guys realize that the oline has been ignored on purpose right? You know our Defense has NINE of the starting 11 on second contracts. We have a qb making 20plus mill a year.

You do that, cause you have Cable taking spare parts trying to mold it into something.

I completely agree but right now they aren't even a mediocre OL. They are straight up bad.

We spent a first on a tackle who sucked and did not pan out. We spent a 2nd on a tackle who ws moved to guard and has been nothing but bad.

At some point, like say 6 years in, we have to stop making excuses. Tom cable has had his chances and done nothing with them. Its time to upgrade

And you couldn't do a worse job than he is. The line is absolutely laughable at this point. If it weren't for Wilson we'd be 0-4 right now because just about every other QB in the league would be out of action by this point after getting sacked 10+ times a game.

Carpenter got a sizeable second contract. Did he pan out at rt? No, but he was a serviceable guard. Moffit was a miss yes.... but everybody here and on every other board/talking head loved the pick at the time. Turns out John wasn't interested in football, as evident by his quitting....

If you watch how quickly many NFL QB's get rid of the ball, and then compare Russell's quickness or lack thereof you guys might get a clue on how our OL is really doing.
Do you like our DL? Do you think they are good? Did you see how quickly Stafford unloaded the ball?
Did you see how many sacks we got last night?

Our QB is required to make safe throws and not turn it over. RW is responsible for many of the sacks we give up because he is trying to make something happen.

Guys, you will have the entire off season to bitch if the team under performs to your satisfaction.
Right now, nothing is going to happen.
Bevell won't get fired mid season.
Neither will Cable.
Why moan and bitch? Look for some positives as there are many.

The Only reason he holds the ball longer than most is because 90% of the time he hit's his last step he is all ready avoiding a rusher. OF COURSE he then will have a longer time from snap to throwing. I always laugh when people bring this up because it's a bogus stat. Now if he was just standing there in the pocket then getting hit/sacked i could understand this but he hits his back foot and is all ready making a move to avoid the pressure. -.- good heavens people. To funny.

Agree. Bogus stat. Pretty much any QB who scrambles is going to take longer to throw the ball, because he's running for his life and trying to keep the play alive.

Fire Cable for what? He gets a pile of shit to work with, and turns it into decent looking solid turd.

Sure, it's not something your gonna stand up and be proud of but at least it's not going to take 22 wipes before you say fuck it, close enough, and flush it.

yeah, because our routes are so damn slow to develop, and some of them are just 4 guys getting downfield for a scramble drill. We got the beast of a TE that we could use to keep the dogs off with tight slants off the LOS but we don't throw them. They didn't have a problem him doing it in NO and it worked pretty well.

That is BS also, Okung was a stud coming out of College and besides getting hurt he looked like a stud his rookie season. He has regressed and looked worse EVERY year under Cable, Unger got worse every year under cable and NONE of our lineman that were "offensive linemen" in college have improved under his coaching.

The more Dlinemen he drafts to change into olinemen the more it proves he can not IMPROVE players that have been playing on the offensive line most of their lives. Cable is not a good Coach or teacher. He has proven that here and it was proven in Oakland also.

Carpenter rd 1 bust
Moffit rd 3 bust
Britt rd 2 failed at rt, failing at g
Okung 7th overall, one probowl but has greatly regressed since
Those are the high picks i can recall off the top of my head.

Cable wanted these guys, everyone scratches their heads at carpenter and britt and either they werw right or cable is garbage as a coach.

Actually Okung was pre Cable. Seems to me the problem is letting him give input to who to draft. He is so bias towards big road graders with a nasty streak that he just doesn't care if they can pass block. To top it off his picks really haven't been road graders. Think he does a good job of coaching the fill ins usually. I just wish the Seahawk would realize Cable shouldn't be the guy picking OL, because he's terrible at it.

6 years. Worse than ever.

This OL should be a well oiled machine at this point. Its not. Even our "best" OL okung is getting abused.

Its just time to move on and build a new offense around wilson and graham with a new OL. We almost have to make a trade for someone, G, RT, C. Anybody would be an improvement.

You seem to always complain but how would you approach fixing our OL? Keep in mind, if you want to sign better OL, it will come at the expense of our defense...

Some of the OL woes is on Wilson... There were times when he had time in the pocket but he held onto the ball too long... But for the most part, the OL has been dreadful... No question about it...

It's so tough noticing a significant difference in the play of Drew Nowark/Max Unger vs Luke Willson/Jimmy Graham... Nowark has been the worst of the bunch on the OL... He's absolutely killing us... He's close to being benched, imo... We need to have Jimmy Graham make his mark on this team to make the trade between he and Unger feel better... Right now, I'd rather have Unger back at this point...

Both of those guys got injured in the NFL and they regressed because of that. The real reason why Okung gets so many motion penalties is because he has lost a step and is trying to give himself as much time as possible.
If you truly believe this you should be screaming for Pete's and John's heads. I just don't think they are as stupid as you think they are.

Here is the thing with Seattle's O- line... VERY athletic physical group, but just not sound yet with there experience or technique .... But don't be surprised if this line get's good before the end of the year.... Sound crazy? Maybe not so much ... Every game gives good film study, every game they gain experience ... This group doesn't lack the size or strength or athleticism, they just lack experience and technique, and of course cohesiveness... Remember some of these guy's were defensive players, the learning curve is real ... But Pete has a vision, he's going with great athletes upfront and trying to coach them up ...

I get this but this is what Hawks have been saying since week 1... This unit has gotten worse imo... There is no doubt that they will improve but going from awful to not very good? Is that really the kind of improvement we're relying on? Hard to imagine this unit being average... They may get there at the end of the year but my question is, will it be too late?
