I thought he hasn't made any visits yet? His first visit is with us tomorrow morning. So I don't think we will hear anything until tomorrow evening. Still a good chance!

Not over yet, but the trees have been shaken pretty good...FA overview.

As expected the Steelers have not made a huge splash...getting Dwill registers, but I'm not expecting anything bigger.

Noted

WR...does Nate Washington make sense to get a vet back on the roster?

RB...clearly a need and imo a good pick up, but I would be leery handing to Dwill 20 times in the games Bell is out...Josh is still in play here assuming he makes the 53.

TE...Spaeth is what they need to keep the running game going...I'm one that thinks Haley should be more creative with Spaeth in the redzone in passing...in the playoff game, BAL knew everytime Spaeth was in it was a run. I still think they need to draft a potential replacement for Heath.

OLB/DE...Getting Moats back was a good move. We'll have to see how Butler is going to scheme upfront. I'm stating to doubt it, but until he's signed I think the chance of JH playing one more yr in PIT exists. Safe to say they will use one of their first 3 picks on another edge pass rusher/defender.

Worilds...that was a roller coaster ride for me...thought he was out of the price range...then his price seem to be dropping...retired...from the outset I felt he would not be back and in a unusual way that appears to be the case.

Letting Keisel go means they feel pretty comfortable with the young DEs...DT I'm a little surprised they didn't look to upgrade C. Thomas in FA.

CB...Robinson is one of the few guys out there that should be able to help...Robert McClain is not bad in slot...did a decent job in ATL this past season.

QB...wrapped up Ben, signed Tajh Boyd...Landry will have to show improvement to make the squad.

We could have afforded that... I'm curious why they didn't

Pittsburgh Steelers re-sign DE Clifton Geathers to one-year contract - Behind the Steel Curtain

More depth is good! But the boat is pretty damn full now!

1. Heyward
2. Tuitt
3. C. Thomas (DT/DE)
4. Hemer
5. Geathers
6. J. Kruger
7. Conrath (Signed future/reserve contract in January.. Fairly unknown to me. Bounced around STL's PS)

Yea, I don't really get this. For the first time I can ever remember the Steelers looking very slim at LB but we have enough DE's for the entire infield.... WTF. Maybe someone is gonna cross over to LB.....IDK!!!

Kinda strange how they are filling the depth out with all of these 'nobodies'. But like I always say, "In Colbert We Trust"...

LB isn't all too thin anymore...

OLB:
1. J. Jones
2. Harrison
3. Moats (ILB/OLB)
4. H. Jones
5. Lemon
6. Nix
7. Zumwalt (ILB/OLB)

ILB
1. Timmons
2. Shazier
3. Spence
4. V. Williams (Big enough to play OLB, wouldn't be surprised to see him start taking reps out there)
5. Garvin

I wouldn't be at all surprised if they maybe think of sliding Spence into Troy's slot....Just a thought, but it could work.

But yea, they are some no namers there...But Pittsburgh also builds linebackers so there could be another star nonamer in the mix there!!!!

I've been saying to @ATL96Steeler for a few weeks now that I think someone out of HoJo, Lemon, Z-man or Nix is going to surprise this year. Those guys are hungry and have big chips on their shoulders. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed at least!

Good idea! I'd rather slide Shazier into Troy's slot...He's faster and more athletic. Spence & V-Will are more than capable of holding down the ILB spot next to the Law-Dog!

So I guess the question is, Who is the next great LB to come out of the Burgh!!!!

Pittsburgh Steelers sign punter Jordan Berry to offseason roster - Behind the Steel Curtain

Camp fodder, or legit competition for Wing?

Wing ranked 29th/32punters with an average of 43.7yds per attempt and ranked 28th for punts downed inside the 20. Not exactly above average. But he did alright. Better than what we have had to deal with for the seasons prior.

LMAO.... we need more punters.... Fuckin let Ben Punt. The few he has done have been pretty decent!!!!
