Tim Tebow has no one to blame but himself...

Let me start by saying I think I've been following football longer then you, I could be wrong, but I've been around for a long while.

Now onto why your wrong. I actually think it's been covered, but I'll go over it again. First off the year Tebow was the starting QB for the Broncos, the Broncos defense was playing out of their minds. Despite repeated 3 and out, they held the opposition to very little. In fact so little that all it took is one successful throw or play for a TD to pull out the game. It really was amazing to see what a great job the defense did that year for the Broncos. On the other hand, the Lions defense up to this year has been lacking in a big way. You should take the word of a die hard Lions fan for this and I'm in full agreement with his assessment of the Lions defense over the years.

Their defense actually was not playing out of their minds. It started to improve, but they were ranked 20th that season and 24th in points allowed. Was that the great defense you were talking about? LOL, you haters are too easy for me.

Actually, it started to really benefit when the Broncos running game went from 29th in the NFL to 1st in the NFL in just 4 weeks after Tebow took over.

You saying Tebow had no significant influence on that? Careful, cause you are a of the Seahawks. Oh, Tebow did have close to 1000 yards rushing.

But you know very well that rankings are flawed, the Colts had a putrid D going into the playoffs the year they won it all and turned into a lightening bolt.....And they depend on who analyzed them....

I'm having a hard time following you. The Bronco defense in 2011 wasn't ranked high, but if you followed them, you would realize what a task they had due to 3 and outs. Yeah stats can be misleading, but I think Lions fans know their team really well and if they say their defense sucked, I'd go with that. The stats back it up and so does my own eyeball test.

Not sure what PM has to do with this thread. That's a whole other thread my friend.

Also, if you remember that year, there was the lock out. What does that mean? It means there was NO work with Tebow with any member of the offense until training camp. Then combine that with him not ever working with the starting offense at all. Then combine that with him trying to change his whole throwing motion, they then changed an entire offense to accommodate his strengths.

Oh, wait a minute. Did I do it again? Am I saying he could have been decent if his throwing motion was not overly tinkered with?
