Again guys I think it was a good trade for the Rams. I'm not saying this as a sam lover or supporter just from how I think the NFL perceives his value way more then most ram fans. Do you guys watch TV? They never question his talent only if he can stay on the field. I will concede and we will find out his value to the rest of the leauge next year when he is a FA. And there are a lot of FA QB's next year.

Well, he's shown he can play well.

if he can limit his turnovers and not force things, the Rams can be in the playoff hunt this year.

he doesn't have to be Peyton or Brady to win games cause the D is crazy good and only going to get better with 1 year of Williams system under their belt.

A lot of this is simply not true. Buffalo originally stated they were interested but then pulled back when the HC Ryan stated he was content with their QB situation dispelling a lot of rumors conjured by the media. Others have already stated the reasons for the other teams not being apart of this. So I am done with this as well.

Maybe buffalo didn't want to give up what it would have took to get Sam? We don't Think like this because he hasn't produced here in stl because of injuries and lack of support and people just see his salery. But that doesn't mean the talent isn't there And that's what NFL teams see in him. You can't tell me he wouldn't be their starter day one.

Yep, everyone did well in the point-counterpoint game found here on the Rams board. There is no doubting Cougar defended himself well as did others on both sides and that is the reason for this board if we all play by the rules that we all decided upon henceforth.

A very viable solution has been offered by Zeke and others and I think it is time to matriculate onward. Perhaps we will all re-visit the next chapter of this saga down the road but we now have new players and a new season staring us in the face and now is a good time to get going with that especially in light of the fact that the draft is almost one month away.

I agree. I am excited to see if he can revert back to his 2013 form. Back then he competed with Mike Vick for the starting qb. His 1st start he was brought in when Vick got hurt against the Giants and went 16 for 25 for 197 yards with 2 tds leading the Eagles to a win over the G men

Long story short, Foles finished the 2013 season with 27 touch down pass's with only 2 interceptions! Surpassing Tom Brady's posting of 36/4ints. for the best td/int. ratio in NFL history....Hey Couger... That's a FACT!

Foles will be fine as long as he can be protected. The Rams still have some major holes to fill on the 0-line. For this reason like Retro pointed out the Draft this year will be extra important that the Rams get it right for a change. I would go after the biggest baddest O=linemen they can get and as many as they can get...then let God sort them out. I'll just be happy that the Rams will be fielding a healthy starter at QB this season. That will also be a welcome change.

I agree, let us go on from the Bradford discussion to Nick Foles. I for one can't look at what could be, just what is. Nick Foles will manage a good game or serve the same fate as Bradford We as fans do what we do.

Well we have two as the foundation on the O-line. That being GRob and Saffold. Who fills in the remaining three positions remains to be witnessed. Foles is a big QB who can run, throw on the run, read defenses on the run and is pretty accurate. I think he will flourish if, and that's a big if, if Cignetti and Weinke can get consistency in the passing game by properly utilizing the guys we have while using the run game to Fisher's liking. So there will be a bit of an adjustment for Foles but I think he'll handle it well and if he flourishes similar to the 2013 season, then we may have a long-term QB right on our roster. I am looking for good things from this huge dude. AND a bonus is he wants to be here!!!

Really Zeke? You better take a look at the offense he was on.. You know #1 Oline at run blocking. pretty sure a top 3 RB in the leauge and how many stud WR's? What happen in 2014? I'm not sure we had that kind of TEAM here in stl unfortunly.

And that's what you guys can't grasp. Bradford HAS proved he can play in the NFL. That's what GM's see. When on the field he can make any throw if given time with velocity and accuracy that is well above avg. yes I do think teams that need a QB will roll the dice on him even with his injury concerns because of his upside. MM and JW are the unknowns when it comes to GM's. They are a risk right now that they could be Ryan leaf or manziel... You never know when drafting. Again 13m for a QB is avg pay right now in the leauge. So GM's again will say his upside is worth the risk imo.

I like Bradford. Alot. But, he plays, or might, for the Eagles now. I'm a Rams fan. It's time to talk about Foles. End of story. You are welcome to follow Sam to the Eagles threads.

The Cardinals wouldn't or couldn't sign Bradford if he becomes a FA in 2016 even if he has a great season. Palmer is the QB for the next 2-3 seasons & barring retirement after this season, there is zero cap room to sign Bradford because of Palmer's cap hits.
