I did a whole thread on these two classes, if I remember correctly over 50% of the players never played a down for WVU...why are we talking Stews classes we should be replacing the DL Coach Bradley, obviously the man just can't coach anymore.

Very true... since the Towson game... the defense is getting worse!!

A sure sign that Bradley can't coach...

FOUR of the top five WVU scorers in history are kickers, Slaton shows his football acumen yet again:L

I actually came here to say something different but couldn't pass this up.

Michael Hunnicut, OU's place kicker, will become OU's all time scorer sometime this season. It is not uncommon at all for the field goal/PAT guy to be #1 on the list.

Indeed it is a rarity that the kicker is NOT the top scorer.

Well, Slaton, what's your answer? Why do you not respond? Hello? Why do you think only scrappy teams have kickers leading in scoring?

Anyway, I said that to say this.

As an old CBS board guy, I was familiar with several WVU fans, so much so that I made an ill advised avatar bet on the 2008 Fiesta Bowl, which was my family's first real exposure to Mountaineer football.

Then came the game in Morgantown in 2012. Holy crap. I had no fingernails left and was hoarse from screaming at the TV.

2013 in Norman was a horrible game but I met some great WVU fans, chatted with members of the Mountaineer band and left having had a great time with some of y'all.

This year, at half time, my wife and I were discussing your entry into the Big XII and my wife (who is not a conference homer and loves very few things the way she loves OU football) said, "I am beginning to really like West Virginia. I wasn't sure about them after they way they treated us in the Fiesta, but I'm glad they are Big XII now." I know it doesn't seem like much but your team and your fans are earning much respect here.

Glad all y'all made the move to the Big XII. As soon as I retire, I'm making the trip to Morgantown.

The B12 was far from my first choice, we had no history with any team there except the four games with OU I felt a little connection with you guys due to the three games I witnessed. If February 2008 I went to Tulsa and OKC for work, and proudly wore my WVU hat everywhere I went, and was treated with respect, OU fans seem to appreciate the game, and respect their opponents. I had a lot of great conversations while working there. I really do not care about any other team in the B12, but have always kept an eye on OU. Some are wanting to form a rivalry with IAST, I have my sights set on WVU-OU being the main rivalry in the league, I have been to Austin and would rather live in NYC.........

And now that Pastilong and Stew are both gone, he doesn't wear his WVU hat everywhere, still doesn't like the move to the Big 12, and longs for the days of playing Pitt and VATech. He likes taking long walks in the woods and fell in love with a women who makes good bologna sandwiches. You would think he would use his engineering degree to crunch the numbers and see the facts, but, as some engineers do, they attempt to prevent from running over budget and hides behind a notion that the shit he provides is good, but really doesn't have a clue on how it works because he works with theory, not reality. Has no clue how things actually work because he has never done it before. I am actually surprise at his man-crush on Stew because usually they stay in thei robotic stage. It's almost like an illness. But remember, it's not him, it's everybody else.

You guys are amazing, the B12 is trying to make WVU and IAST rivals, everyone else in the league has rivals, these two do not. For being the great fans you say you are, you sure don't read much about WHY sports, just stand there cheering Luck..........

I'm still waiting for the football guru to tell me how he figures a team is a failure when the kicker is the top scorer. :noidea:

No sir, not everyone else, just four luck lovers on here. If you read papers, talk to people, take your head from the sand, there are many people who are unhappy about where the WVU athletic dept is headed, who do not like to be in a league 1000+ miles away, who do not like getting fleeced for every penny that Luck can pry from us.

Actually your team could be a huge failure if your kicker is the leading scorer, just because he is does not mean the team is a success...I mean is that out of the realm of possibility? :L
