I also don't plan my life around a bunch of teenagers who wouldn't know if I died tomorrow.

But I do plan a day out of my weekend in order to watch a game/sport that I enjoy watching and having a good time.

Why would you even think of football in that manner?

I wasn't talking to you. I was talking to Bo who said, "We plan our lives around football..."

Oh yes. I've missed a couple each season over the last couple years. Usually either at a field trial or hunting. I don't plan my life around a bunch of teenagers who wouldn't know if I died tomorrow.

Clearly, like has been said, you are attatching a deeper meaning to the word planned. I have never once slighted anyone or any function in my life due to the game of football, but i also have not missed many games that I could watch. You clearly dont see the meaning behind what I am saying which means you probably never would get it no matter how many times i explained it.

Considering they have the record in Bowl games played all time, I would bet you're wrong.

Hell I even know of atleast four times they have played in the Rose Bowl for a Bowl game and that cannot be done by driving if you live here and want to see it...unless you have a spare week or so to drive it.

What you described yourself to be is a fan, not a FAN and thats what many CFB fans are. If a game is on and you want to see it, then you watch it if something family wise doesnt stand in your way. Many fans plan their lives around Football season and thats especially true in the South. Now, with all that said its not like we dont have lives outside of football also. Hell, soon I plan to get the instructions on how that damn newfangled toilet thing works...just as soon as i can figure how to get the water into the Box thingy above it.:confused2:

Bama played at the Rose Bowl in 2010 and before then 1946. Thanks for proving my point old timer

Uh yeah, because you guys got tired of getting your asses kicked in the Rose Bowl, so you made it so only Big10 teams could come out.

Maybe you should wonder why Alabama's fight song mentions winning the Rose Bowl.

"Remember the Rose Bowl, we'll win then".

Umm Bama beat USC in the rose bowl once in 1945. I don;t know what that has to do with how much or actually how little Bama travels but nice that you can reminisce about your youth.

Pac-12 makes changes to neutral site scheduling - CBSSports.com

this would prevent any neutral site games from happening and we all know saban isn't going out west

I don't like this. While I am in favor of home and homes and applying pressure to those teams/conferences who seem to avoid them, I don't like the "mandate" from the conference.

Clearly, USC fans and Alabama fans (as well as the majority of cfb fans) would love nothing more than to have a home and home, but if the only way that the game can happen is as a neutral site game, then neither conference should be doing anything to prevent it.

I can understand the conference "limiting" the number of neutral site games (teams can't play them in consecutive years, no more than 2 of the conferences teams playing neutral site games in the same season, etc.), but to say that a team can't play a neutral site game unless the PAC has exclusive broadcast rights is bullshit that will likely mean that no neutral site games will be played in the future.

Additionally, aren't there 2 or 3 games at the start of every season that are neutral site games that are sponsored by outside entities (Kickoff Classic, Coaches against Cancer (?), etc.). What if a PAC team is invited to one of those games (I believe USC played in 1 or 2 of those during the Pete Carroll era)?

This just doesn't seem very well thought out to me.

USC is the only Pac team? Interesting.

Are you trying to put me down by calling me old?
