Does he usually hate on the Badgers as well? I know over the last 5 years he has annually taken shots at or written off Marquette. Might be some Wisconsin hate lol.

I honestly dont see a big difference between Creighton and OK State. Both teams are super dependent on one guy. Frankly McDermott IMO is a better all around player than Smart but OSU has slightly better supporting cast. If you are going to include OK State as a team that can win it all I see no issue with having Creighton, Blue Jays would be 15th or 16th on my list I think.

ahhh but I did not include Ok State in my 10 teams for that particular reason. I think Creighton, as they always are, is another of those pretty solid regular season teams which has 0 chance of winning 6 games in a row to win a national championship. McDermott is awesome, but cmon let's get serious here

They got Wragge who can bomb it from 3, but you are literally better off sticking a traffic cone out on defense for him.

Yeah, I don't really have an issue with people including Creighton or Ok St. (obviously not the latter since they are on my revised list) THe head scratchers I've seen so far are:

Cincinnati: but I haven't seen them play yet this season, so maybe I'm missing something
UNC: not crazy but I would be surprised to see them turn it around at this point
Louisville and Duke: Both these teams seem fundamentally flawed to me. They lack an inside presence and I'm not even sure if you could get a Final Four team out of those two if you merged rosters. I get that it's two HoF coaches. And I have no doubt they'll be getting the best out of both teams by season end. I just don't think the best includes a deep tourney run.

All the other picks I either agree with or at least find defensible.

very much agree with all of this. those are pretty much the reasons i have none of those teams on my list.

trolly cincy is a REALLY good defensive team, but there is no way they can score consistently enough to win 6 games in the tourney. almost the exact opposite of why Creighton can't do it either
