That is interesting. He has a claim that his mothers medical condition did not allow him advance in school because he was home taking care of her. If he is in his 5th year that means the homeschooling held him back from "advancing". I could see it going either way.

Is all of this really a big deal? He'd miss his senior year, but that tape looks pretty good. And at 6'5", 230+ with an arm and some wheels... who cares? Would Tech (or anyone) pull their schollie if he couldn't play his final year in high school? Is he a threat not to qualify?

He's only played one season of HS football.

So he'll be unpolished... still worth a gamble on his size... and athleticism seen in his tape. Did he camp anywhere over the summer?

yeah, he's camped, and looked good. I don't think his scholly would get pulled, and I don't think this would affect qualifying (they're not saying he can't take classes), but it's definitely a pretty big deal for this kid. Nobody wants to sit out, picking up rust, when you're perfectly healthy. And that extra year of playing would be huge for his chances to come in and contribute early.

Could also be planning on graduating early knowing he may not play this season to knock off the rust

Im assuming he would be eligible to play someplace, if not for North, then wherever the board says he qualifies for.

Feeling a lot better about Hand after watching the recent ESPN interview with him. Talks a lot of schools, but saves VT for last and says "it just feels like home...it's a chill vibe". Also emphasizes how important food will be in his decision, so all we gotta do is get him over to that new Turner Place on-campus.

Maybe the commit for the next camp is the big one?
