Until Meyer starts pulling some Virginia boys with these offers, I'm not really worried. Seems like most kids in Virginia want to go South (generally) if they leave the state. There are some exceptions but I think we're still the team to beat for Reavis. We seem to be in pretty good shape with TJ Boothe, Payne, Reavis, and MJ Stewart (who may end up a 4*) .. Add any 1-2 of those with Harrison (I don't think we'll take any more than 2-3 DBs in 2014) and it's solid. I'd be more worried about UNC and USC-e with CJ more than tOSU

Been awful quiet on the hoop ... What's everyone's bet on the 1-3 commits? I think we get a few this spring. I say 3 out these 4: Park, Reavis, Boothe, Herndon

The first junior day will be a bit light but I think we have over 10 total commits by the end of the spring game, possibly more.

That would be 2/3 of the possible scollies available (according to what some are saying). I would be good with that as long as we get very quality guys.

I'm not talking 7 out of those 10 being 2-3 star guys.

Then again. Most of the guys we have offered are highly rated prospects.

I think that we will take closer to 25 than 15 to be honest. We always preach small classes but we have 14 seniors and I would bet 5-7 guys who won't be back this year. Add in next years attrition and the potential for a couple of guys to bolt (Marshall, Maddy, Jarrett) and I think this class will at least be 20.

I also think the days of 2 and low 3 star commits are in the past, except for exceptional guys the coaches see.

I think the new coaches and some interesting offers will have a Hand in making this a special class.

Looks like we were cut from D'Andre Payne's list

yep... his new top 10 is reportedly (in alphebetical order): Clemson, FSU, GT, Maryland, Michigan, tOSU, Stanford, Tenn, Vandy, and UVA.

Lot of r-Jrs on scholarship, some of whom may graduate and leave.

I don't know that anyone is setup to bolt for the NFL, but that'll depend how the season goes.

With Ricardo Young and Boye Aromire having less than stellar experiances at VT I would not be surprised if we had trouble with DC area (HD Woodson especially of course) kids in the near future. Never had much success to begin with.

I sure hope so! I tend to agree with the numbers game, just throwing it out there. The 15 that some are throwing out there seems rather modest to me.

5 star runningback jalen Hurd has committed to UT... Vols rolling. Don't see it stopping anytime soon either. Reavis even retweeted a Todd Kelly jr tweet about jalen hurd's commitment.

I can sense the giddiness MattyB. My question is when/if VT joins #Godsconference...where will your allegiance lie???

Has someone already asked this question before??

If UT can actually learn to produce on the field, I am concerned about a new player in our recruiting footprint moving forward as they have appeal. Judging by how they typically underwhelm, I am not really worried yet, though.

Same here, I'm not sure the Jones hiring was a great one, only time will tell.
