Funny thread. Chiefs fans go from WTF "this is stupid" to he's a "head case" in about 2 pages.
Both of these things are true. Peters is a head case and its a WTF 'this is stupid' trade for the Chiefs.

Not sure if the Chiefs 'lost' the trade yet because I have yet to see Fuller but I think its fair to say that the Rams won it.

I’m still pissed Denver didn’t re-up Wade

I might calm down at some point, but I may wash my hands of this team for a while. This isn't forgivable barring something very surprising in this return.

The good thing for the Rams if Tru leaves because of this trade, they will pick a 3rd for him leaving.

My guess is the thought Peters wasn't going to re-sign long term;

BUT, if NFLN is to believed, the Chiefs came in with the mindset that they need a to trade a DB away (Why???) which is an incredibly asinine way to approach a trade if correct.

This shouldn't matter given the biggest window for the Chiefs is going to be these next 3 years, all year they control Peters. This makes their defense considerably worse, and failing to get Quinn adds insult to injury. Yeah, they probably sign Talib or Trumaine Johnson now, but they cut off their noses to do it.

So, the Chiefs succeeded in ruining all the good they got out of the Fuller trade. Stupendous work. Back to square 1 but with an extra year of control on Fuller. I am so happy...

Either Peters wanted out or the Chiefs owner wanted him out. Only two things that make any sense

edit - typo

Basically you replaced your star CB with a lesser player and your proven winner at QB with a 2nd year guy you really don't know anything about and did both those for some draft picks.... I don't get it. KC is my number 2 team but this shit makes no real sense

Fuller is legit, trading Peters for less than a king's ransom is just ignorant of how pay-structure works in the NFL.

I'm still trying to figure out what WE got out of this...
Aren't we all. I was mad when I saw Quinn, but could stay away from the cliff at least. Now? Nah, may need to take a break with what this trade represents. Not a fair weather guy but I am crying uncle on this.

Fuller is fine but he's no Peters. Basically that's what happened. You traded Peters for Fuller , Smith for Mahomes and added some draft picks which may or may not amount to anything . If they do not this sets KC way back

Nobody is Peters in terms of takeaways, but Fuller is damn good, make no mistake about it. Fighting over Fuller and Peters is like which gourmet steak I'd like.

Well I know you're higher on him than I am so I'll let that be but no reason you could have both. Just weird

Exactly. Unless I am just wildly wrong about the picks they're getting, there's no way this can end well for the Chiefs. Just looking at Chiefs first round picks, you'd have to go all the way back to Eric Berry to find one as good as Peters based on tangible production.
