The Rams will be 6th in salary cap in 2019. They will be fine.
Fine, sure.

I'm just looking at Donald and Gurley both being in there prime. They're two of the most immediately impactful players right now and I dont think they'll be getting any better because I think they're both at the top of the game. Oline holding up, Peters at DB...yeah, their window is as open as it gets.

I know we got some big contracts coming up, building a hell of nucleus when we open up NFL disney stadium.

Peters, Goff, Gurley and Donald all 26 and under.

Unless they got 3 first round picks, money is an awful excuse. The biggest window for the Chiefs was the next 3 years anyways with Mahomes on his rookie contract; they also tried for Quinn so this is obviously BS to me.

Obviously, the Chiefs ain't getting anything close to 3 firsts, and you're quite adamant about Peters. Clearly Reid wasn't gonna put up with his bullshit anymore. Pat Kirwan wondered why it took so long (he stated he knew about the Chiefs wanting to part ways with Peters for 3 weeks) so something tells me they waited a while to get at least a decent return.

With the 49ers finally getting a QB, the NFC West is gonna be a power division over the next 5 years. Especially if Seattle re-loads correctly.

Arizona not so much.

Easier said than done, but if Zona got the right QB

That alone with David Johnson is gonna win some games

All these guys will be coming up on new deals all around the same time. I can't see the Rams being able to afford all of them if they continue to play at a high level. They'll need the Seattle magic of 2010-13 by finding a couple three probowlers over the next two drafts.

But you're right NFCW looking strong for at least two years.

David Johnson and a sneaky decent defense. They could make the playoffs next year with a QB change.

That's a good point. Goff & Donald are going to make it rain money next offseason. They might have to let Peters walk after 2019. Maybe another season under the tag.

If the Cardinals aren't doing everything humanly possible to attempt a trade up for Rosen or Mayfield, they're dumb IMO.

Allen & Barkley will bust IMO.

Im almost slightly worried that I'm seeing the exact same things when it comes to the QBs.

My guess is that they take a stab at Teddy Bridgewater because I think Rosen and Mayfield will be gone by that point.

I very easily see them securing the nucleus (Peters, Donald, Goff, and Gurley) to contract extensions. Rams have 40 million in salary cap this year, 85 million in salary cap in 2019 and 153 million in salary cap space in 2020.

Wade Phillips will keep Peters in check. He has a great knack for dealing with hot heads. Great move by Rams

Yeah, the pieces they'd lose off the top of my head would be guys like Tavon Austin and maybe someone like Brockers or even Quinn.

But they can secure the important pieces.

Not gonna lie: this is causing some butt hurt.

Funny thread. Chiefs fans go from WTF "this is stupid" to he's a "head case" in about 2 pages.

Traded Alex Smith and now Peters? Rebuild so soon?

I'll take a head case shutdown CB with our Dline and Wade Phillips.

All day. See Richard Sherman
