Your thought process has been explained, hypocriticaly. You condemn Shaw for having success early because it was Harbaugh recruits. In the same exact breath you commend Riley for beating ranked teams (Ohio State being a big factor) all the while forgetting those were Stoops recruits he won with.

An LOL at the reason with Franklin. Most the players that are gone after this past year were O’Brien recruits.

Yes we are talking right NOW. Lincoln Riley is not a top 10 coach after 1 season RIGHT NOW. If he is in your mind, how did you conveniently miss Kirby Smart?
Riley beating Ohio State specifically has nothing to do with it. The fact that in his second game ever, he went into one of the toughest environments in college football vs. a top 5 team who just the year before smoked his team, and beat them convincingly. The B1G proved to be one of the toughest conferences this year - if not the toughest, and he went to the home of their top dog and won by 2 TDs. He then had 3 more ranked wins this season.

Franklin took PSU over 4 years ago and took them from a 7 win team to an 11-win team in back-to-back seasons and has them as a legit national title contender in 2018.

Conveniently missed Kirby Smart?? Go back and read my list, dumbass. I have him 4th.

Great input, dumbass.

If Riley had gone on the road in week 2 and did the same thing to a team like Clemson or Penn State I'd still have him right where he is.

Except Riley doesn’t coach in the B10 you stupid fuck. He got 1 ranked win in the B1G, he got the rest from the B12. Now unless you want to argue that the B12 was on par or better than the B1G (we all know you wouldn’t) then stop using that win over Ohio State as a means to put him in as a Top 10 coach.

James Franklin has 4 wins vs teams that finished the year ranked in the AP. 4 through his time as penn states coach. No doubt they’ve gotten better but still when you are playing arguably an easy OOC and half the B1G is shit, one can see how his turn around wasn’t impossible.

He got OU to the playoff with Mike Stoops as DC.

Let us not forget, his whole offense were Bob Stoops recruits.
...let us remember that he was a coach there for a while before becoming head honcho. So Bob's recruits on offense were his recruits too.

...let us also acknowledge that he has pulled in a top-ten recruiting class this year.

Did you see the one where he was able to reach the CFP with Mike Stoops as the DC? That's impressive right there I don't care who ya are.

No doubt he was part. But if you read the earlier conversation we arent giving Shaw any credit for his early success at Stanford because it was Harbaughs recruits (even though Shaw was OC) so it’s only fair to say the same about Riley.

Ohh and congrats on the top ten class. But considering you are considered a blue blood and just made the playoffs did you really expect anything different?

An did you see the one where he was able to reach that playoff with a loaded offense that could outscore almost anyone and sometimes had too?

No, he doesn't. But he went on the road in week 2 of the season and beat the best team in the B1G in their own house by 2 TDs, you stupid fuck. That wasn't just a ranked win; it was a top 5 win in primetime on the road against a team that just beat the fuck out of this same Oklahoma team the year before - scratch that, beat this Oklahoma team with 2 stud now-NFL RBs and an NFL WR on their roster.

Yes, Franklin's turnaround wasn't impossible. It doesn't mean it wasn't amazing. He went from 7-6 to back-to-back 11 win seasons in a matter of a few years, and Penn State is a fringe top 5 team next year. They just had, I'm fairly sure, their best recruiting class in program history, if not one of the best.

Shaw had some good seasons in the past. He's gone backwards for 2 years in a row. Again, as I've said, if he turns it around next year and gets them back to the top of a Pac-12 that should be even worse this year with USC reloading at QB and Wazzou losing Falk, he might be back in the top 10. Otherwise, I'm not going to sit here and worship him like you are.

Thank you for admitting it was all about the win over Ohio State.

We are going to just have to agree to disagree. You are impossible to have a conversation with because it’s pure hypocrisy.

An if im worshipping Shaw what’s that make what you are doing with Lincoln Riley? Deep throating?

LOL it was about a convincing road win over an elite OOC team. I've already said if Riley had done this against Clemson or Penn State, I'd have him in the same exact spot. He also had 3 other ranked wins. As in the same amount of ranked wins Shaw has in the last 3 years.

It's not hypocrisy, you just don't like the fact that you can't prove me wrong.

You mean Bob Stoops team had 3 ranked wins. Bob Stoops built that team. The cupboards are stocked there's history there, tradition. Riley hasn't even had a practice with a single player he recruited. Seven years from now no matter what Riley is doing he inherited a team that had won ten or more games in nine out of the last eleven seasons ( Harbaugh- One-Uno)with seven conference titles in that span ( Harbaugh- zero) so even then it's a team built by Bob Stoops.
I mean if you're going to be consistent.

And if Riley shows signs of regression in 4 years after these recruits cycle out, he'll drop in the rankings. He looked every bit like an elite coach last year, just as Shaw did at first when Harbaugh left, so he gets the benefit of the doubt just as Shaw did. However, Shaw went from three straight 11+ win seasons to now having just 1 in the last 4 years. I don't know how that's not showing signs of regression.

I don’t have to prove you wrong, you do that all your own. You continue to praise Riley after only 1 year because he beat Ranked teams. Yet you condemn Shaw for it in his early years because it wasn’t his recruits.

No one on this site will actually believe you aren’t pimping Ohio State but to say a coach is in the top 10 for beating them at the shoe this year is a little much, even for you.

But as I said, we’ll just agree to disagree.

I haven't praised the dude. For Christ's sake I have him at 10th out of 10, so it's not like I'm saying he's among the Meyers or Sabans of the world.

You are literally the only one accusing me of saying "only because he beat Ohio State". I've said now twice that if he beat a team like Clemson or Penn State he would still be 10th. Am I being a homer for them now too? It's not hard to understand. He went on the road in his second game ever and convincingly beat an elite team. Pretty simple to see how big of a deal that is, unless it's you I suppose.

I've never once condemned Shaw in his early years. Hell, I've admitted that I thought he was an elite coach then, because I did. However, he hasn't continued at that level. When a guy goes from winning 11+ games for 3 years in a row, then drops off to having 1 such season out of 4, my assertion that it was Harbaugh's recruits that helped him win is far from outrageous. How do you explain what's happening there?

Surprisingly enough, this is actually one of those times I'm not pimping OSU. Then again, we're talking about Oklahoma, and not Central Florida...
