Had Bama lost that game, do you think they would have made the playoffs last year at 10-2 over 11-2 Ohio State? In that case you might as well say Bana vs Mercer was a playoff game

The ACC has the worst deal in CFB, lets not beat the dead horse.
Had Florida won in 15 or 16 or Missouri in 14 they would not have.I would agree with your statement with one slight adjustment. Until the SEC champion doesn’t make the playoff then the SEC CCG is a defacto playoff game.
that does not make it a playoff gameOnly 1 side really needs to be in the hunt, because a loss could possibly keep them out.
Wisconsin vs Ohio St this past year is an example of that in action as I don't believe Ohio St legitimately still had a chance at that point.
It's why they say every game in the regular season is a playoff game(for those still in it).
I think they put in a suicide clause like the Big 12 where the ACC still gets your TV revenue. Can’t remember exactly the terms but remember something going down when the Big 12 was flirting with Clemson and FSU.Then that would be my pick for conference that gets poached. Great schools, highly populated states, etc..
See tOSU vs Iowa circa 2017.In that case you might as well say Bana vs Mercer was a playoff game

I choose option 1.You see Bama vs Auburn? Cuse vs Clemson? The theory either works for all cases or its a load of BS..
Realistically, why would the PAC want Okie State. They don’t bring that much in the way of fans or televisions. You are more likely to see PAC staying at 12 rather than picking up Oansas and Oklahoma State which would severely hurt how the conference is looked up and doesn’t help anything.Texas to the ACC in a Notre Dame like agreement for tier3 NBC/LHN set up.
OU goes SEC west
WVU goes SEC east
Mizzu goes to SEC west
Alabama goes SEC east (cross division Iron bowl is permanent like UT game is now sets up OU/Bama CCG a lot.)
Okie State to the PAC
Kansas to the PAC
AAC/Big12 leftovers merge.
So UTEP should have a shot at a title after going 0-12? You are forgetting that Ohio State also had a blow out loss to oklahoma. No team has finished undefeated since FSU in 2014 so every playoff has been BS?You see Bama vs Auburn? Cuse vs Clemson? The theory either works for all cases or its a load of BS..

It pretty much is a double elimination playoff. Only two teams have ever missed the playoffs with one loss, the year with 5 teams with one loss and 1 team with no losses. No, saying Every game is a playoff is BS. Never said a word about the playoffs

Every game is like a playoff game if you are still in it.
I can accept it with "like" and "if" qualifiers
