You trade some pretty good, abeit older players for some younger unproven scrubs with the exception of Hill who won't stay around next year anyway..
Just keep digging

It is only a good trade if they get two legit max players. If they don’t, it’s worthless
No max player in his right mind wants to play with Lebron james.

This is a big win for the Lakers.

Opens up cap space for 2 max players in the summer

Lakers bailed out the Cavs for this year and won't leave Cleveland totally hanging when they get Lebron and 1 of his buddies next year. Cavs got a helluva deal for this year + future and needed it badly.

Seems to me with both trades the Cavs made they came out on the short end.

Dumped an under-performing (and defensive sieve) IT, who wasn't likely to stay this summer for a scoring combo guard and defensive forward, adding young, athletic depth. Dumped Wade's rotting corpse back in the swamp. Traded another under-performer in Jae Crowder with another rotting corpse in Rose for a quality 3 and D PG in Hill and an emerging young SG in Hood.

Other than losing their 1st round pick, Cleveland made out very well. Their season should pivot on these trades and reinvigorate the team.

Odd move by the Cavs. I don't see how this helps them get any closer to a title. This was a completely knee jerk reaction. A bad season? They are currently 3rd in the East.

Cleveland had stars, it was a star studded roster. Everyone on that team had the same goal, which was to win a championship. If things aren't working out, you sit down, have a team meeting and talk all this out because at the end of the day every one of those guys wants a ring. Those on the team wanted to be there because LeBron was there and they knew it gave them the best chance to win a championship.

Instead, they recent had a locker room meeting which leaked and the blame game started. How about the Cavs as a team, and their leader LeBron, grows up, stops this grade school BS drama and lockdown and play together to try and win a title.

The guys Cleveland got are not named Westbrook, Harden, Durant, Curry, Thompson, so that can't please the King LeBron too much. This feels more of a move for Cleveland to make to prepare themselves for LeBron ultimately leaving this offseason.

Ha ha! It infuriates MSGKings when he gets a rainbow. He's flailing around and throwing them out at everyone now. It is so easy to get under the little fella's skin.
