Yes, loyalty is probably the largest reason keeping him there. That's what I meant by home appeal in my original post. However, most coaches always have a desire to prove themselves at a bigger stage. Not to mention a heck of a lot more money

Tough one between Chryst and Dantonio. Dantonio has faced tougher schedule and had to deal with monsoons in two of those games. But they have lost a few games where Wisconsin is still undefeated and the only one who is guaranteed a CFP spot if they win their next two games.

I like him and he did take Purdue out of bottom feeder, and possibly to a bowl game. But I think next season or two will be his season. Just hasn't done enought for COTY, IMHO.

Dantonio also had to kick 5 starters off the team for off the field issues and has one of the youngest teams in the country.

Michigan State was also awful last year and had to deal with some lousy offseason stuff.

If Wisconsin doesn't win the B10, then Chryst shouldn't get it

Not dissing Dantonio, but Wisconsin has a very young team also. I haven't compared 2 deep, but Wisky's offensve 2 deep has 19 underclassmen

OSU hasn't had a COY in nearly 40 years despite being the best team in the conference by a landslide in that timeframe. It's quite possibly the most worthless trophy in college sports.

Maybe if Dantonio had more control of his locker room he wouldn’t have to kick 5 starters off the team.

That's what comes with high expectations. When you start out the season ranked #2 and fall off, COY is out of reach. Meyer will get one when the media projects a rebuilding year and OSU goes lights out instead

If Meyer wins these next two weeks, he deserves it, but I put Dantonio and Chryst above him until then.
