Typical Iowa. Good defense, solid ground game . QB and wideouts are better than expected . OL is not as good as it usually is. Iowa can beat almost anyone but is not good enough to blowout any halfway decent team. They probably beat someone they should not and lose to someone they should not in the second half

There's not a team left on the schedule Iowa will beat for sure .... Except for Nebraska

Defense has been pretty solid and is the strength of the team.
Kickers should just quit football and both go home and do nothing but rock back and forth in a corner the rest of their lives. FUCK KICKERS
Offense is inconsistent at best. At times they have moved the ball well and at other times they are disjointed, mainly on the front line. Losing their starting LT hasn't helped any.

Didn't expect them to go undefeated, but also didn't expect it would be ASU to trip them up. 6-1 isn't horrible, but also not excited over it either.

Did I mention I hope a train runs over both of our kickers? :noidea:
Have you thought about sending them to Baylor, they like trains there.

We pretty much have to try and outscore our opponents and will be lucky to go 6-6......waiting to see who we hire as a new HC once we give Mora Jr his walking papers.

Speaking of BYE weeks, I know the SEC catches hell for it, but I think they are on to something by stretching out the conference games over a longer period of time. Playing some earlier in the year. For the most part, they don't have many teams that have to play the "toughies" back to back to back. Less "gauntlets" so to speak. I don't like those late season cupcakes either during a conference run, but they are BYEs for all practical purposes.

Penn State goes tOSU, Michigan and Michigan State the next three weeks. They go all frickin' year without playing teams considered on their level and then BOOM...back to back to back. Even if some of those turn out not to be as good as originally thought, still...

And the Big 12 is frickin' stupid. No one has a BYE after Oct 7. They may have needed to backload the schedule without a CCG, but that ain't the case anymore.

And USC has a BYE at the end of the year! WTH

Schedulers make some really odd decisions some times. I like the conference games earlier as well, it was fun playing Indiana first game of the year this year. I wouldn't want to see playing a FCS or crap mid major late in the season.

SU is going in the right direction, but is a long way away from being a contender in the ACC. The Offense is doing great considering the lack of experience and depth on the O-Line. SU is ranked 14th in the nation in passing. The running game has struggled but has shown improvements in the last two games.

The D is playing much better than anticipated and has kept SU in striking distance in every game this year.

We will all learn much about this team the last half of the year where SU has Miami, Wake, FSU, UofL and finishes with BC in the dome. At this point all of those games look like a win ... or a loss.

SU needs more depth and hopefully Babers will start getting the kids SU needs to be a contender..

We want Bama.

As long as we're able to win out. Otherwise we are NOT ready for Bama.

I'll sum it up with a Homer Simpson quote:

“Yeah, Moe, that team sure did suck last night. They just plain sucked. I’ve seen teams suck before, but they were the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked.”

In the preseason prediction, I went 12-0 regular season. That was before J Taylor decided to play Superman. Then we lost our #1 LB and that Michigan game looked iffy. I did't know that they had no QB. We haven't really been tested so I don't know just how good we are.

Defense - near elite
Offense - predictable and conservative but can take over a game by nothing but 3 yards and a cloud of dust
Special teams - Kicker is accurate but no idea of range, no runback game at all

Still see a 12-0 regular season, underdog in the CCG and a major bowl.

No running game? I'm not tracking. I know Hurts accounts for a boat load of yards, but your boys have put a bunch of yards up on the ground.

? No Hurts on Wisconsin. But if you want to compare us to Alabama, I'll take it.
