Naw, he's worried about RW. Think we all know keeping RW healthy is important. Unfortunately OLs around the league suck eggs. I'd say 70% of the league have a OL problem. There isn't no magic to change that any time soon.

I watched the Giants/Cowboys game highlights. One QB gets to stand back behind his O line and pick and choose what to do. The other is under constant duress.

I want Russ to have a good O-line too. What would he throw for behind that Boys O-line?

But the history is what the history is. We paid for our D with our O-line, and while we're attempting to fix our issues, we've struggled with that. Fant getting hurt was the latest 'oh shit' moment.

This should have been a Seahawks priority for the last 3 years running.

My point is it should have been resolved by now, or the right people are not managing the organization.

That this is still a matter of glaring need and concern is telling, IMO.

What have they been doing all these years to address it?

Be specific, please.

You can look up the draft picks and the FA signings yourself. They HAVE addressed it, they just haven't started to put the money into it until LAST YEAR.

The team is GOING to transition to less D and more O as Russ continues. We still have 10 more years of Russ.

If you want to fire the coaching staff, then at the very least, please do it right. Do it in the offseason. Have a plan in place. Don't fucking panic.

Look at the long-term successful NFL franchises. What do the Steelers and the Pats and the Giants all share? (and the Seahawks in the last eight years?)

STABILITY.

You're panicking.

Which is your right as a fan. Just glad you're not running the show.

Well that's a reasonable approach. First half of the season is going to be rough on the OL. Got @ Tennessee, @ LA Rams, @ NY Giants, then a home game against the Texans. Some mighty good D lines in that group.

Yep, tests are coming ...

I mean, maybe Seattle just lost a close game to a good team?

You know how it is, knee jerk reactions left and right. Just got to have a sense of humor about it.

Let us now baptize our offensive line with the motivation of Walter Jones, greatest block ever in the history of the NFL playoffs....

You guys keep calling it a knee jerk reaction this is a reaction to the same problem that has kept us from winning 12 games and going back to the superbowl. It doesn't matter if we win the division once the playoffs hit all its gonna take to knock us off (from teams like Dallas, Atlanta, and GB) with a solid defense to keep the offense from putting up more than 14 points to win the game.

Our defense is great but you cant expect them to go out and murder against every team we play especially once the injuries start coming. The offense is going to need to take care of themselves

Oh I think the Seahawks can do better then 14 points against those teams, despite the opening game on the road against the Packers. Look around the league, some weird games all around. Normal for week one.

I suppose, but it seems kind of silly (and a bit insulting, as a Packer fan). Seattle played a good team, had some bad calls go against them, were on the road and lost a close game. It isn't like you lost to the Jets here. Seattle is fine. They will be in the playoffs.

Yeah it's just game 1, I was more frustrating with the officiating than actually losing, I kinda expected a loss in this one, Green Bay and Seattle are a tough match-up, home field is huge in this rivalry...

Hell, when is the last time the home team actually lost? I mean, other than the Fail Mary game? (I will forever be salty about that, but it did give me a great fantasy team name!)

"Everyone has ol problems"

But not every team has an ol that gets beat on literally every play. Watch any other game and you wont see OGs getting thrown like rag dolls and giving DTs career games.

Im hoping for a terrible year so we can finally get the changes we need, just sucks that such a great D will be totally wasted.

Blah blah blah same ol same ol.

Its not panic, its the culmination of 7 years of degenerating OL play and it is worse than last year. Its also 6 years of bevell unable to score tds in the redzone or convert 3rd andshort. He just isnt up to it.

Fire them now and give the team a chance or get used to seeing more games with 12 first downs and nothing but FGs.

If thats your kind of football, then by all means, enjoy it.

If that was all they played, you'd have a point.

But you never have a point beyond wanting to blow everything up. And you don't KNOW that it's worse than last year (it might be), so quit pretending to have some insight you don't have.

Fire ______!

That's your answer to everything. Paul Allen thankfully knows how to run an organization If he's going to fire someone, then that'll be his decision. I have confidence he'll do it the RIGHT way if he does it.

Firing coaching staffs after game #1 isn't something successful organizations do.

<shrug>

You do know lots about blah, blah blah though, I'll give you credit for that.

another mediocre year and an early playoff exit is in our future. i guess thats A-OK with you.

wasting what looks to be a great defense is A-OK.

wasting the prime years of one of the best QBs in the game must be A-OK.

changes needed to be made in 2014 and they werent, its 3 years later and the same problems exist. no more of this "well it will get better". the evidence suggests cable cant build an OL and bevell cant call a play in the redzone to save his life.

And your solution won't get us back to the Superbowl, it'll get us to 4-12 or at best 7-9.

What do all good franchises share? Stability.

And I dunno how often I have to repeat it, I'm not opposed to firing some coaches around the place. I just want to do it right. NOT after the fucking first game of the season.

But hey, so long as you throw out the usual passive-aggressive, 'well if that's OOOOOKAAAAAAY with you,' schtick, all is right with the world.
