With the Bills and Dolphins each getting 2 wins from the Jets and 2 more wins coming from the Dolphins and Bills playing each other this seems pretty unlikely. You're basically saying that these 3 teams will have 7 wins combined outside of this pod.
Yep that's correct.

It's actually 5 wins combined since the Bills and Dolphins will get 2 wins each from playing the Jets.
You're right. He has 11 wins for the 3 teams and there are 6 wins in play with those 3 teams playing each other. It would be pretty nutty for that result to happen, to be honest.

AFC East crosses over with NFC South and AFC West. In my opinion those are the 2 best divisions in football . I see the Dolphins. Bills and Jets going 2-22 combined in their cross over games

The counterargument to the Dolphins being terrible is that I think they'll be trying and I think the Jets and Bills might not be trying.

I could certainly see the Dolphins going 6-10 or 7-9 but its also not hard to see them sneaking into 10-6. Cutler is a lot better than rolling with a QB like Bortles imo and Miami's run game is proven.

I think Jay Cutler is pure garbage in my opinion. Bortles is young and can improve, while Cutler is almost 35 years old and has never really been good aside 2 or 3 seasons. Miami's run game is definitely proven, I'll give you that. But I don't have the Dolphins doing much this season. At best they'll go 6-10. Jets might win twice. MAYBE. Bills might be around the 4 or 5 win mark. Browns maybe at the 4 or 5 win mark as well. I wasn't hyped about the Jags like everyone was last year, but I am this year. I have them at 7 wins this year.

11 would be the fewest combined wins for 2-4 teams since divisional realignment in 2002.

2007 AFC East: 12
2016 NFC West: 13
2013 AFC South: 13
2012 AFC West: 13
2008 NFC West: 13
2002 NFC North: 13

The Jets are going to be all time bad imo. Add in the best team in football in the sake division and the toughest possible cross over matchups and that's how I see it.

Well outside the Patriots, the AFC East looks like they will be sucking serious dick this year. The Bills traded for two guys and they are both hurt. The Jets are the Jets, if we're being honest here. And the Dolphins are relying on Jay Cutler to return to the playoffs. Jay Cutler has only made the playoffs once in his career. Gase and Cutler were in Chicago together in 2015, yes, but they also went 6-9 with Cutler as starter so that doesn't give me much hope for the Dolphins. Yes the receiving core is better and the running game is better but I just think Jay Cutler is absolute garbage.

Outside of the 4 games vs the Jets and Bills the Dolphins schedule is fucking brutal. Pats 2x, Falcons, Bucs, Raiders, Chiefs, Titans . That's 7 games vs Top 10ish NFL teams. Then the Broncos, Ravens,Panthers, Saints and Chargers. Absolute best case I can see is 7 wins and frankly that's only if they sweep the Bills , even then 7 will be tough

Bortles improving would be roughly the equivalent of what Jay Cutler is on average. Cutler's career YPA is 7.2 with his best year around 7.6. Bortles in his short career is a 6.6 YPA with his best year being 7.1.

They might get 2 wins against the Jets and split with the Bills. Only team on their schedule outside their division I'm leaning towards them winning would be the Chargers. All the other games are almost locked in as a loss. Panthers are better, Ravens w/ Flacco are better, Saints are better. Miami MIGHT beat Tennessee, but that's about it. It's gonna be a looong season for Miami, Buffalo and New York. Pats might sweep the division for the first time in a while.

It's worse this year . Usually the East has one or two other decent teams. The Jets and Bills really are going to be bad with the Jets being next level bad. Miami is going to be awful but their schedule is just too much . They'll probably only be favored in 4-5 games all year.

What you say is in play. Dolphins could be underdogs in almost every game they dont play the Bills or Jets but trying to figure out who the good teams are next year might be foolish outside of a team like the Pats.

The AFC East has just been sucking regular dick since 2001. This year, they are getting serious with their dick sucking. I'm talking Pats sweeping the division and no one else having a winning record. Talking maybe:

Patriots 14-2
Bills 6-10
Dolphins 5-11
Jets 2-14 (at best)

Bortles is definitely not a top 15 QB right now but the potential is there. 2015 wasn't a fluke year, in my opinion. I just don't see Cutler really improving the Dolphins much. He's gone to the playoffs once in his career and the season he has with Adam Gase, they want 6-9 with Cutler as starter.

In a QB driven era, Chad Pennington is clearly the 2nd best QB the AFC East has seen since 2001, and Cleo Lemon is in the conversation for who is 3rd best
