Yeah you have a point.....................

Not quite. True they didn't get along, but Shaq didn't force a trade because of Kobe. He wanted out because Buss wouldn't max him out. Not same, same my friend.
And, at Smush Parker.
Kyrie is applying leverage at the right time in his career. I think the dude is smart
Smush Parker
Also, there was a guy named Shaq, who you might have heard of who didn't get along with Kobe. So it wasn't necessarily Shaq who requested the trade, but more Kobe demanded Shaq be traded. So which is worse?

I'm not on twitter, but saw it on FB

Smush Parker?!? Seriously?
That guy named Shaq left over money, not Kobe. That's comes from Shaq himself and he has stated it many times over the years. Really can't make it anymore clear than "I left because of money. Kobe had nothing to do with why I left the Lakers."
Here is what really happened. Shaq was getting old and starting to decline. He was also notoriously lazy in the off-season and would show up to training camp overweight and out of shape every year saying that he would "play his way into shape." He also refused to take care of nagging injuries/minor surgeries in the off season saying "I got hurt on company time. I'm gonna heal on company time."
Kobe, on the other hand, was young, just entering his prime and spent virtually all of every off season working on his game and staying in shape.
Both of their contracts were coming up and Dr. Buss was only willing to max one of them. He chose Kobe. This pissed Shaq off and started the feud with Dr. Buss over money. It's very likely that Dr. Buss would have worked something out to keep Shaq happy. However, Shaq decided, after dunking in a pre-season game, to yell "You gonna pay me now" at Dr. Buss who was in the stands. That was the moment that the decision to trade Shaq was made by Dr. Buss.
The Shaq/Kobe feud was real, but it was over who should be the team leader. Had Shaq's contract not been an issue, any feud between Shaq and Kobe would have been worked out well enough for them to continue to play together.
After making the decision to trade Shaq, Dr. Buss called Kobe into his office. He told him what he had decided and also told him that, while he would do what he could to prevent it, it's was very likely that, because of their feud, Kobe would be blamed for the trade.
Looks like Dr. Buss was a bit of a prophet.
I was being facetious naming Parker. Obviously there's a huge difference between the two situations, but Smush Parker always comes to mind when it's teammates and Kobe.
I also know the deal about Shaq, but I'm a total Kobe hater and couldn't resist throwing in a jab there. That's why LAD didn't go too hard on my post, I think.
y'all think you're funny, but my team's LeClown-proof...
i'll keep saying it until next season...
