depth wise i dont think we can absorb too many injuries on defense , so yeah 5-11 is possible . i expect we will push 10-6 a playoff win if the majority of our moves pan out

I have seen a lot of pundits predictions out there. Everyone has us last which I find insulting. The USA today one is just a major hater. If the Eagles finish ahead of us this year that would be a major disappointment.
I don't agree with USA Today's prediction. The Skins should win at least 7 games.

If Kc like you said is a pro bowl Qb and has over 40Td's then yes 10 wins should happen easily

it depends on the defense . if they can make even a minor jump we will be fine

I cant see the defense be worst stat wise from last year. If all of them stay healthy and Kc throws over 40Td's then yes 10 wins should be a certainty. Plus you have to factor in Tolmusla and Manusky into the equation. Both upgrades from last year.

LOL, is that all? You don't think that is a little unrealistic?

Do you really understand just how rare and unlikely 40 passing TDs is? In NFL history, it's only been done 12 times. By only 8 QBs. Ever.

ok dean said i predicted 40 passing TDs , no i predicted 43 total TDS to be clear and they are "wild predictions "

Well, on the one hand, 40 passing TDs guarantees the Skins a playoff spot b/c all the other 8 teams got in, but that is an exceedingly short list of Qbs.

I get that they were wild predictions, not what ya'll think will actually happen. Even so, 40 or more total TDs are quite rare. Total TDs moves the number up from 8 to about 13. However, there are over 2 dozen QBs that have gotten "close" to 40 total.

Personally, I think KC's stats will dip some from previous years.

Not to speak up for Fearless leader, but Im thinking 40 TDs was a combined passing and rushing.

So 5 rushing (which he has done before) and 35 Passing, which would be a massive, yet realistic improvement over the 25-29 he has done over the past two seasons. Or 2 TDs a game, plus an extra TD or so in three games against some of the poorer passing defenses we play this year (If we play a poor passing defense that is)

so there is another factor I forgot -- Does Dan and Bruce WANT this season to be a success?
5-11 would justify letting Cousins go, and put them in a spot to get a new QB through the draft and go berserk in FA. It seems to be more profitable than actually winning. A new storyline -- could this be the year the Redskins start a successful rebuild, get a real NT? get some safeties? the list goes on. They technically had two winning seasons in a row -- so something did not go as planned.

Really? He didn't have a number one WR. He didn't have a go to guy when you have to have a play. He had zero size to throw to. His line was considered by many awful until he got in there. He had no running game to help him.

Perhaps, PG was helped by having a QB that could get rid of the ball on time and trusted him to be there. Perhaps DJ was helped by having a QB not lead him into bad situation, exposing DJ to injury. Perhaps the OL was helped by a guy who gets rid of the ball incredibly quick and on time.

Before KC, we were talking about getting rid of PG because he was about to get a big pay day and wasn't worth the last year of his contract.

Before KC, we were talking about DJ leaving because he wasn't living up to his contract.

Now, those two WRs made KC what he is?

Id argue DJax was a number 1. Hes at least a very good receiver. Reeds could be a "number 1" even though he isnt a receiver.

A go to guy? He had Reed, Crowder, Garcon, and DJax. How many go to guys does he need?

Size? Who the hell cares? He had skill and speed which are just as/if not more valuable than size. Size is not necessary whatsoever.

His line? Please. We all know that we have a very good to great Oline. One of the better ones in the league. Kirk does a great job of getting the ball out but the line is very good.

Running game - sure the running game was poor but thats also probably the single least important part of the team. The rest of the O more than made up for that.

Sorry but people talking about getting rid of Djax and Garcon years ago were just being short sighted. THeyve been great wide receivers their whole careers.

Made KC who he is? Did anybody say that?

But the fact is they made up a fantastic supporting cast surrounding KC. I really dont know that any other QB had a better group around him.

Fair enough. But I will say that Kirk might be in arguably one of the worst positions for a QB in the NFL. A front office that only believes in him enough to try and make him expendable. A portion of the fan base that does think we would be better off with some one( any one) else. And while he is a well paid rental this year, he is basically auditioning for the rest of the league.

Sure the front office is awful (league worst I think) but I dont think that has any on field factor. Though I will agree hes not treated so hot by the FO and at least some in the fan base.

Agreed....Not my boy though, I stand behind the colors. You and a couple of others DO seem to have an problem letting go though. Come on, sit up straight, take a deep breath, allow for a good cry if it helps, then repeat...."He's gone, I must let go"......"He's gone, I must let go"....."he's gone, I must let go."

I love how rg3 is constantly brought up...but not by the people who are so called "Cousins haters" and "rg3 lovers"

Hmmmm....

Its almost like other people are the ones struggling to let go...
