Julio in a class by himself in this league

Antonio Brown has waaaay too many games he doesnt show up

Beckham is the most explosive guy in the league, but he's an idiot

AJ Green has never even had 100 receptions

Ok now the original question . Going forward into 2017 and beyond would you rather have Nelson or Jones ? ..... Yeah. Thought so.

Jones had the better season. Nelson has the best QB in the NFL throwing to him, making his job somewhat easier, whereas Jones is more responsible for Matt Ryan's success. JJ gets more attention than Jordy simply due to him being arguably the best receiver in football today.

Player A had a slightly better season. It does not mean Player A is the better player.

It was a simple question.
Who had a better season?
Why are you so sore about this?
Not sore at all. Just giving you the opportunity to answer the initial question that was posed. If you think Jordy had the better year that's no biggie but the original debate was who was the receiver you'd rather have going forward

I did answer it and you took offense to my answer.
I doubt anyone, outside of GB, would take Nelson over Jones.
Now I'll give you the opportunity to answer the initial question. For last season who had the better year?

No this thread was an offshoot from a different one. I was posing the actual question from the other thread . I'm not offended . Jordy is a very good receiver and even if you or others think he had a better year last year you still would never take him over Julio. Ryan had a great year last year too but that doesn't mean I'd take him over Rodgers going forward the next 5 years

I never said I'd take Nelson over Jones, fact is I'd take quite a few receivers over Nelson and Jones is definitely one of those.
If Jones had 4 or 5 more TDs, I'd probably say he had the better season 6 more TDs Jones 100 % better.

I know. That's the point. That is the impetus for this thread .

So simple question for you.
Who had a better 2016 season?
I'd still take Julio because he opened up the field so much for the other receivers and because he missed basically 3 games and still had more yards. That said I've got no issue with people taking Jordy last year. He had a great year but there were stretches he was really Rodgers only healthy option . It's close enough for me not to care though

Jordy is very good, but a push with Julio is silly.

IDK, last year was typical for both receivers. Julio usually gets a ton of more targets, more yardage, but has never been much in the red zone. Jordy usually has really decent yardage, within range, but is a big TD type. Last year Falcons offense was perhaps the best they ever had in their history, with Ryan having a career year. Just on that you should expect regression. Then add they lost their OC, which isn't a good thing. Packers had a typical season on offense. So not silly at all to think that Jordy could have a better season, provided Father Time doesn't catch up him.

Yeah...look at the previous season...what made this a career season for Ryan and the ofc was NOT featuring Julio as much particularly on 3rd down and in the RZ where Ryan had a healthy number of picks trying to force the ball.

Jordy could very well have a better yr of statistics depends on who else Rogers has at his disposal, and if that was the debate...okay, I'll stand down...that could happen.

Who had the better season? Just based on last years stats?

B....more yards on less carries, gives team more opportunities to score with multiple players.....:2cents:

Player A - Touchdowns easily. Harder to score once you hit in the red zone especially for receivers because of the shortened field.

EDIT:

Totally disagree. Blount had 18 TD's and Patriots sent him packing.
He was slightly better than awful but the team put him to the goal line a lot.....
