Hmmm. Don't think this is accurate. Zion's contract is laden with weight and games played clauses. He can literally eat through all his money. He is nowhere near a billionaire. And he played 71 last season. Plus, he is an outlier.

Also, if you miss only 1 game per 15 you are only out 5-6 games a season. I think any team would take that from any player.

And then got injured in the playoffs.

I guess a Zion thread morphing into a food thread is about the least surprising thing ever.
I will say that the food in New Orleans seems to have been a good thing for Ingram.

I mean, I'd love to add him at a reduced risk, doubtful they part with him cheap
What do you mean by a reduced risk? His contract already is not guaranteed if he does not make weight and game minimums. The Pelicans aren't going to give him away for nothing, so what is your threshold that you would give that would work with cap rules?

I'm a pretty big Ivey fan, but I think that Ausar and Ron are the future at the 2 and 3 and Ivey is too good to be satisfied being a 6th man long term, That means we will likely trade him this year or next as his rookie contract is coming up. I don't see getting a better return than Zion for him in a trade since Zion can be got right now for a ridiculously low cost. I would jump on Ivey and Hardaway if the Pels would go for it. And I think they would because they will have a great pick this year and Ivey will be better than any other pick they are likely to acquire, plus THJ is expiring to give them cap space to either pay Ingram or to play in free agency. In my eyes that is about as low risk for a potential big reward as you are likely to get.

Hopefully Zion doesn’t see this thread

As I said, a change of venue may be just what he needs.
I guess if that includes a change of menu. You know it’s bad when you have a weight restriction in your contract

I should have said a reasonable return, yea if you trade Ivey and TH for him and go for a HR I'm good with it for sure.

I'm not sure anyone will offer more for him. Someone may throw more picks at them, but picks are a crap shoot where Ivey looks like a sure thing and cap space can be used to get picks or players.

Zion Williamson is back from injury (yet again) and playing pretty well. However, he already had to sit out a back end of a back to back, not unusual coming back from injury, but also missed a game for team rules violations.

I think that Zion would be a great addition to the Pistons, creating a pick and roll that would be virtually unstoppable with Cade Cunningham. Sadly, I am no sure he has the discipline to make a move for him worth what it would cost. I just don't know if he cares enough to keep himself in shape to avoid injury and be a team guy.

My question is: Is Zion Williamson the NBA's version of Ricky Williams? An unbelievable talent, but just does not love the game enough to stick it out?
He wants out of New Orleans IMO.

The Pels are going to want some kind of draft capital given the talent Zion has. I cannot see them trading him without getting some kind of draft capital.

I read a story the other day suggesting there is no trade marker for Zion. Shockingly, NBA teams don't want a fat guy with a bad work ethic who just spends his time eating and banging OnlyFans chicks.
