R.J. Barrett is in an ideal situation to get minutes and put up some inefficient numbers, but numbers none-the-less.

My money would be on him.

Sekou Doumbouya will IMO be the biggest thread for Zion...

Hands-down is a bit much, but deservedly the favorite. He could see serious challenges from a number of guys though, like Garland, Ja, and don't forget Porter Jr.

If he doesn’t win this year, he’ll win it the next year. ;)

Easily the favorite but I think realistically there are a handful of guys that could win it over him and I wouldn't be surprised.

Ja
Garland
RJ
White

Not sure if I would go Porter Jr. just bc there are so many options on that Denver team. Jokic, Millsap (maybe), Harris, Murray but it might be a good pick odds wise.

Well yeah. I'm guessing he's the biggest prospect since davis, right?

I love him as a prospect and he should get playing time in this Pistons rotation, but I think he is little raw to come in and compete for ROY. I hope that I am surprised, but I think he is a couple of years out.

ROY is Zion's to lose. He comes in with all the tools and will be the focus of his team.

Agree... but he is a fast learner and he in the hands of coach Casey now... One of the best to be with, if fast development is the goal... He is the one in the five later drafts that resembles to Giannis the most... Only that Giannis came from Greece's 2nd division Filathletikos, while Sekou comes from Limoges and has played in European international games.

Of course you would say this.

Because you pick one player that happen to like and you pretend that he is the top rookie because you like him.

Sekou could be a star someday. But even if he follows the Giannis blueprint, that is years away. He is not likely to be in contention for ROY because the top picks (Zion, Morant, Barrett, Garland) are going to be relied on by their teams to carry a bigger load and they are almost certainly more NBA ready.

It is unrealistic to expect a raw 19 year old who averaged 19 minutes a game and scored 8 points a game in france to produce significantly more than that his first season in the NBA.

Just not going to happen.

Aw. Cmon.

Way more fun when he gets them all wrong.

But that's getting old. Think of it, he gets just one right, and then he goes even crazier! Once he's been validated, it's gonna be glorious. But not sure I will get what I want here...

Do you honestly think it matters?

Dude acts like he gets it right even when he is clearly wrong.

If he were ever right, would he even be able to recognize it?
