I find myself turning off most of the songs and groups I've heard a million times like The Eagles, Michael Jackson, Prince, and a long list of others.

The guys I don't seem to change nearly as much are:

  1. David Bowie
  2. Elton John
  3. Paul McCartney
#1 - The late great Stevie Ray Vaughn. I will never turn off SRV, and if you do it may lead to serious injury. He didn't even need to write songs. He could sing nursery rhymes and play guitar and it was bad ass..

#2 - Pink Floyd.

#3 Van Halen......Not Van Haggar

#3 was a toss up. Could have gone with AC/DC or GNR

The Beatles (and their solo work)

Black Sabbath
The Doors

The last two have changed over the past couple of years. Led Zeppelin used to be #2 by a mile, but I overplayed the shit out of em. Hendrix is somewhere in there, but his work is limited. Pink Floyd is probably going to rotate into that three soon. Everything besides The Beatles is always moving.

Then there's a couple of rogue, random artists I like.

Five Finger Death Punch - really pushes the envelope with how broody and raw today's buttrock can be.

4 Non Blondes - can you believe they actually covered Zep?

t.A.T.u. - these inclusive artists really challenged what passes for music

wrong. Willie would smoke you under the table, and then fuck your girl.

Eh, Willie is so old and dried up that it's like squeezing an open bottle of Johnson's Baby Powder when he can actually manage to finish up.

1. Hendrix
2. The Clash
3. Richard Thompson

There are a lot of incredibly tired bands in this thread.
Some outright bad.
