That is a good thing. I don't pay much attention to other teams, but you like to see a bottom feeder beat a contender in your own division. Houston looks pretty improved this year and I really feel like this year oakland's luck of counting on fringe players to have career years finally runs out and they realize they suck again.

I think Nightcrawler is worried about the wrong team...I think the Angels will be our biggest threat this year...I have felt that way since ST...despite their shitty BP

They still lack the pitching IMO. But if Oakland remembers they suck then I guess LAA would be the next biggest threat.

I beg to differ. Oakland is 15-10 and would have over 20 wins if not for the blown saves. Thank you Jim Johnson.

Certainly not as bad a start as the last two years. But Weaver is not as dominate.

Weaver is a #3 at this point. Been saying that cross body delivery would catch up with him for years.

Weaver has regressed significantly and Hamilton is hurt. When it comes to head to head, the Angels no longer have Trumbo the Ranger killer. I'm not as worried about the Angels.

Weaver's issues have definitely hurt them, but I think their offense is better with a healthy Pujols and Hamilton was much better before he got hurt. He will continue when he returns. Pitching will be good enough to keep them in the mix, but we should be able to take em .....IMO.

LAA still doesn't have the starting pitching or BP arms to really make a run at the division I don't think. Parker and Griffin going down and their BP being an issue will hurt Oakland this year. Like you say if the Oakland hitters realize they have gotten lucky and that they really suck it could be a year for Texas to take back the division
