This could be used for the next two series I suppose. A split is what I foresee. Is CarGo playing in this series?

GM 2 May 6th, Tuesday 8:40 pm EST

thought I'd chip in.

The rockies are pretty hot right now I hope we can put up some big runs on them.

He played the past two days after missing Friday with a hurt finger, so I assume he'll play. He's not hitting like he has the past few years, but the CO offense is potent, particularly at home. Good news is that they give up a lot of runs, of course.

Definitely have a good chance to do that. The game today figures to have been a nice tune up for the offense.

Don't think he has beaten the Rangers in his last 6 starts vs them. He has given up 3 ER in 3 of his starts so far and he like most of the Rockies pitchers so far have benefitted from lots of run support. Would be nice for the offense to stay on track after the nice day today and put up a couple more touchdowns tomorrow!

Nicasio can be a tough pitcher. It's like facing Ubaldo, hope you face the mediocre one. Also, which Ross will we have show up.

The latest from the DMN:

JD on Ogando........“I don’t think [the pace] is sustainable,” Rangers general manager Jon Daniels said. “He’s not going to appear in 90 games. But having one month like this, I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. But we’ve got to be able to share the load a little out there.”

Also, the club has promoted right-hander Matt West to Triple-A Round Rock and had relievers Ben Rowen and Roman Mendez each work two-inning stints there. All three are emerging as potential bullpen options. Lefty Jimmy Reyes, currently at Frisco, is also figuring into the conversation.

I know it's Monday and all, but has everyone gone on vacation or what?

Yeah I don't know much on him, I was speaking of Lyles. I hope RR can keep the ball down, or he could get in trouble again.

Is it just me or has MLB changed scheduling where there are significantly fewer day games this year? Sure seems that way so far.

Rangers left fielder Shin-Soo Choo went 7-for-10 with four walks in the weekend series with the Angels and leads the American League with a .349 batting average and .482 on-base percentage.

Choo has drawn 20 walks while striking out 21 times. He's only scored 14 runs because the batters behind him, like Elvis Andrus, Adrian Beltre and Prince Fielder, are off to slow starts.

Man if all of these guys could get hot at once, or even 2 of the 3 Choo could score a ton of runs

:agree:........I sure hope Choo doesn't slow down, at least for a little while longer, b/c maybe our bats have come outta the closest - in a manner of speaking. :laugh3:

Im looking for a good night from the team as we have played well vs Lyles in the past. He has had a good start so far, but would like to see everyone carry over the hitting from yesterday and put up some big numbers again. Hope we see the MP we got the first few starts vs the last.

per Ken Rosenthal: Greinke 20-4, 2.54 with Dodgers. Team 27-7 in that time. He can opt out after ’15 and is 10-0, 1.89 in last 13 regular-season road starts.
God he'd look good in Ranger red. Everyone was saying he was overpaid, but 140 mil isn't looking that expensive for what he brings anymore haha. He freakin hits like .320 at the plate too! not that it matters...

Perez was runner up for AL pitcher of the month, I think, to Sonny Grey of Oakland. That Perez we need.
