You would think baseball would care that no one watches their playoff games....they have them on premium cable channels starting at 11:45 central. You really expect casual fans to watch morning baseball playoff games on premium cable networks that they don't have? You're fucking retarded Manfred. This is why the NFL kicks your ass. You have to get these on basic cable during primetime hours.

Very true Rev. They may be getting decent revenue from the network itself but the revenue would still be good if rights were given to a mainstream network and the fact you have a better chance in increased viewing which in turn could lead to the gaining of fans to the game of baseball which could lead to more revenue.

Diekman for sure and for me it would be Faulkner and Ohlendorf.

I believe so. The game we lost to him beyond the regular season was when we had a playoff to see who the 2nd wildcard team was. So that technically was not postseason. If I remember it correctly.

Yes. That's the game that sticks in my craw. That game was shortly after the Rangers were in the hunt to acquire him but the Rangers failed in their bid.

I think I would want at least one of our young starters, Chi Chi and Martinez, to be available in case Gallardo and/or Colby make early exits. We need 1 or 2 guys who can eat multiple innings I think.

I think having a day off after 2 games does not make the use of the BP as much of an issue. So not sure I want a starter other than the 5th one left out for this series (so we will have a starter available in the pen) as I would prefer to have guys who can come in in key situations.

It seems absurd to me that they are falling into the "take the money and run" mode by not allowing more people to few the playoffs.
