Should be interesting . More often than not a 6'7" or taller lineman doesn't dominate like you think he would because of his higher center of gravity. Strong shorter linemen tend to affect these guys. But he could be one of the few who figures its out. Will be fun to see.

I totally Agee with your assessment of taller DL. This kid seems to have a lot of opside though. I've read were some think that he could fill out some and move to the inside to be a Haloti Ngata type player for the Ducks.

Hard to say. Several candidates but on offense:

Skylar Howard (assuming he corrects his accuracy problems we saw in the bowl game, I'm blaming the yips vs a home state team)

Shelton Gibson - Guy looked like a good one coming out of HS in Ohio a few years ago, he may finally be ready.

Andrew Buie- Took a year off after looking good as an underclassman, came back last year in limited but impressive action. Senior year, nothing to lose, and he is a dangerous weapon with inexperienced guys around him on offense.

On Defense:

Al Rasheed Benton LB

Daryl Worley- stays healthy and lives up to his NFL draft projection hype.

THIS^^^^^^^

Nobody else matters. If Heard can't live up to expectations, we're fucked. Strong can pull in all the 4-5 star defensive players he wants but it doesn't mean DICK if our QB sucks again.

Sucks or not he'll still have a career game in the RRSO

RB Jalen Hurd.

He rushed for 900 yards as a true freshman, behind the worst O-line in the SEC. I think he could have a big sophomore year.

Jeremy McNichols - RB/WR

Thomas Sperbeck - WR

I would have said Mat Boesen at DE, but his dumb ass ended up getting kicked off the team. Sucks. He was an animal and a complete terror in his limited action as a freshman before being suspended. Maybe someone like Elliot Hoyte at DE. He's a kid from England who's still learning the game but he's starting to figure it out and could explode for a monster season.

I'm hoping Brett Rypien's name is added to this list at QB, but they'll probably start Ryan Findley instead and redshirt him. I'm really excited to see what this Rypien kid has.

I can see Brett Ripien being the starter.

For Ohio State:

Raekwon McMillan. Will be a true sophomore and start at mike after Curtis Grant graduates. Super talented athletic freak. We are blessed to have him 2 more years before he is a first round NFL draft pick.

GO BUCKEYES!!!

For Oregon: whoever takes over at QB1.
even if they arent going to have a Heisman season they will get a lot of news. and likely have solid stat lines.

Yep, I was going to list him.

Zeke Elliot was the other I would have had on the list, but he sort of broke out in the 2nd half of 2014.

Juju smith Wr - he showed flashes during his freshman season last year. With Agholor leaving for the NFL I expect him to step up and play a big role in the SC passing game

Adoree jackson CB/KR- also a solid freshman season explosive on returns. Also used as a WR very effectively. Expecting him to improve on defense with the sanctions lifted and a deeper roster

Actually, I pray that it is the entire Tennessee roster, that Tennessee continues to gel into a formidable team on both sides of the ball, that they develop a confident culture of excellence, that they believe that they can defeat every opponent that they face. For if the program matures to this point, they will give their all every play, every game, no matter the score or the results of the last play, and whatever the outcome, they will carry on, formidably, with grace and power. Tennessee will win more often than they lose, and those who face them will do so with foreboding rather than arrogance.

Yeah he is gonna be special. This defense is going to be amazing. Most of the young players have already broken out. I'm expecting a monster season from Tommy Schutt. He got some great reps in down the stretch and it is time for him to step up as teams will focus on Joey Bosa.

Maybe I just don't understand what a "breakout" player is, but it looks like a lot of players mentioned have already "broken out". So much so that they would be expected to be serious contenders for All Conference honors this year if not even All American consideration.

As for my Huskers:

QB AJ Bush
RB Adam Taylor
S LeRoy Alexander
OL David Knevel

I thought about that when I threw Deshaun Watson out there. My bad.

Jake Coker. If Kiffin can quicken his release he will have a monster year.
