Agree. Part of the problem with going BPA is that you can end up logjammed at certain spots. The 76ers got themselves a nice group of bigs...but they have no guards. They became the opposite of the Suns from a couple of years ago who seemed to be trying to put together a team of all point guards.

So you are saying the Sixers should have passed on Embiid since they already had 2 centers. (at that point, they couldn't go back in time and change what they did in the past)

Whoops -- you are right -- they only 1 one -- Noel. (I got screwed up by injuries and the guys they draft sitting.)

But stuff -- if they took Noel (C) with high first round pick in first year -- they should have drafted a different position the following year. Unless they were drafting the best available player.

It remains an open question on whether Embiid and Noel can coexist. During the 76ers' hot streak in January of this year, the two played pretty well next to each other. So, I'm not sure Noel made it impossible for them to take Embiid, regardless of whether he was BPA or not.

I'd trade it for Butler, but not George, if Boston lands the top pick that is.
If I was Ainge and kept the pick, I'd probably take Jackson.

Not necessarily. If memory serves, one of their centers had injury issues. But even if they didn't, it would depend on if any of the 3 could maybe slide over to PF or if they thought they could a good guard by trading one of the bigs.
