Of course you should have.

It was a good afternoon because you did.

I love talking about Ben Z, that's his name by the way. I always name my cars.

My SHO was Bull.

The Maxima is Minimal.

The TBird is Raven (cause it's black).

The Contour is Baby Bull.

Haven't got a name for my Audi yet. Have to think about that.

My F-150's name is Bone Crusher because it rides so rough.

My history with trucks was not a good one.

Of the two I had, one replaced the other after an accident, and then was summarily totalled, neither with me behind the wheel.

My wife, son and daughter live to tell the tales.

But I'm not going to own another one. 3rd time could be me.

The SuperCoupe was a 3.8 supercharged V6. With inherent head gasket flaws.

I bought that car well used and it promptly blew the head gasket. We put in a donor engine I got cheap, drove it for a year and a half and it blew too.

Got that fixed. 3 years later when I'm trying to sell it it blows again with me driving right after a guy drove it and was interested.

So now it sits in my 2nd driveway, forlorn.... Nice looking car, black with black. Lots of mods.

But a sack of shit for an engine. I'm reluctant to scrap it but might have to.

Yeah the 3.8 was crap with or without the blower.
If you were closer I might come take a look. Nice car to swap in a 4.6 and a 5 spd.
Yours auto or stick?

It was a slushomatic. My son is epileptic and has slight CP so we though if we could get him behind the wheel of a slusho he could drive left footed. Not on the real roads but maybe somewhere with a big asphalt pad.

Fuck you.

I mean nice ride!

I spent all week driving the Audi with it's 1.8 T engine.

I got to take Ben Z out today.

I could talk all day about that car and it's 8 piston front Brembos and 4 piston rears, and all the other unbedlievable shit it has in it. Supercharged 5.5 litre V8, 500 ponies/torques, etc.

10 years ago when it was brand new it cost well over $120K.

I picked it up the Friday before the last Super Bowl for $25K. Canuck bucks. It only had 50,000 miles on it and was prisitine.

We giggle when we drive it. Amazing car. 0-60 in 4.6 seconds, 1/4 mile very low 12s. A wonderful snarl when pressed. Weighs 2 tons..... Fits 5.

1957 VW Beetle (Green, named Emily. Gearbox went)

1967 VW Beetle (Red, named Piper, blew engine. Replaced it in an afternoon with a junkyard engine. Eventually the floorboards rotted. Sold it to the junkyard for twice what I bought the engine for a year before. FREE ENGINE!)

1976 Chevy Malibu (in 1987, hand me down from my aunt, engine block cracked)

1978 Chevy Malibu Wagon (Named the Wonder Wagon. Bought for $150 from a farmer who had installed a 454 in it to move trailers around the farm. Put 2 Holley double pumper 750s on it and won a LOT of money on "Run What Ya Brung" nights at the drag strip. Learned about rear ends and transmissions in that one.)

1988 Ford EXP (First "real" car. Almost new. Died in a cloud of oil smoke)

1993 Dodge Shelby Daytona (First "New" car. It generally deteriorated)

1996 Dodge Intrepid (The Red Menace (Barely got 100k on it before I tossed it away in a fit of rage. Two transmissions and two manifolds. Shitty car)

1999 VW Passat GLX. (Named "Gunter" made it to 212K with nary a problem. Got rid of it because of cosmetic issues like the passenger side mirror falling out. Fucking LOVED that car.)

2008 Audi A4S (Named Max - Current car. Working closer to home so only at 95K currently. Brilliant little machine. Plan to buy S5 or something really cool and give this one to my son when he turns 16 in three years.)

Moral of the story - Zee Germans. Zey know how to build cars. Zee 'mericans? Well, I didn't have good luck.

So just bought some simple after market wheels for my A4. Didn't want a busy look, didn't want flashy chrome or colurs, settled on these with some Falken FK453 225/45 ZR 17 rubber.
