What is the 32nd ranked fan base in this article (I won't read it)? Whatever it is, it's a huge slap to the face of a lot of great football fans (which every fan base has plenty of). For that reason alone, I won't give any article like it the time of day.
Baltimore

What decent sized cities that don't have a football team can Baltimore pull from?

Not going to lie...this argument is making me want to pound my head against a wall a little bit.
Do it, do it:what:and no whimpy stuff like the WWE

Oh great, an article of judging fan bases off a few analysts opinions. Here's facts of why the GB fan base is superior to all sports teams (football basketball, baseball, etc.)

1.) Packers stadium has been sold out in every game since 1960 so most of you weren't even born at this time.

2.) The wait list for season tickets is 955 years. They're guaranteed to sell out for nearly a millennium.

3.) Packers fans are the owners. No other major professional team is owned by the fans of the team. So, this give us the right to say "we" when we are talking about the Packers.

IMO we have a better following than any other team and it feels like every city I've been to they have a bar just for Packers fans.

Packers season tickets worth the wait - 955 years for some on the list

As for the other teams

Steelers are the refs team
Patriots will always be the cheatriots and their blind fans defend them no matter how much evidence their is against them
Dallass is the Medias team
Seahawks: the rainy city pigeon bitches are the best bandwagon fans ever. They didn't even know there was an NFL team in Seattle until Iron Make came to Sea Town.

Denver should be #2 and Cheifs fans should be ranked #3
I agree as I stated before. I enjoyed the game immensely I attended in GB. The fans were super. Too bad none of them post on the hoop. But let's be real for a minute. There is nothing else to do in and around GB during the winter. If not for those 8 home games they'd likely close the city until spring.

It's crazy. It's like people completely forget that the Cowboys have been irrelevant for 20 years and they start hating again.
Who are the Cowboys?

well, I didn't have a choice to live there after 5 years old. I've visited friends and family but never stay more than a week. During winter we went to movies, casinos, bars and that was about it. So IDK what else there is to do but I do know the stadium can pack the entire adult population of Green Bay hahahaha. There's a few on hoop but not as many that were on the ESPN boards. Those were the days.

Haven't seen you posting in a while Dayne. Where you been? I hope to catch another game at the frozen tundra someday. Seriuosly for anyone who's never been, they need to go. Suck up the outrageous hotel cost and enjoy the tailgating. GB fans welcomed us like we were Packer fans even while we wearing our Pats garb. They gave us shots, beer, brauts... awesome, awesome fans.

Broncos have the longest sellout streak in the NFL, and it goes all the way back to when the team was a doormat. The waiting list for season tickets is several decades long. And they're ranked 7th.

The Packers have sold out every game since 1959.

I moved and have been getting settled in with my new job. I've never been a big offseason poster. I have occasionally posted on the politics board. Yep, I've heard many fans of other teams never felt more welcome than when coming to GB. It's like the opposite of going to Oakland, SF, Giants, or Philly. I'm going to GB to watch the Texans and Seahawks games. Hopefully they don't have those old and cold bench seats anymore.

My point is that the Denver Broncos are the only game around for a tremendous amount of people which helps two things:

1. TV viewership - obviously

2. Attendance

Pointing out that Baltimore is closer to DC (than say Colorado Springs is to Denver) while ignoring the fact that DC has a football team (that plays in Maryland) is ridiculous. Actually...DC had 12 years to grab fans from the Baltimore area (in between the Colts and Ravens).

I understand that many people need to travel to see the Broncos, but if Denver is closest, Denver is closest. It's either that or don't follow an NFL team.

Huh? As I pointed out in another reply lots of folks root for teams that are not in their geographic area (especially kids). Some of them are transplants & others just simply root for teams since they are successful or have certain players on their roster. Successful teams will be on national TV almost all of the time. You can also view any NFL team via Sunday Ticket or a visit to the local sports bar. This isn't the 80s.

This is proven by going to just about any other of the country and seeing tons of fans for teams like the Steelers, Packers, Pats & Cowboys as well as up & comers with marquee players such as the Panthers. You also have to remember that lots of people don't have the resources to attend NFL games even if the stadium is in their backyard. Therefore - proximity is not that big of a deal.

BTW - where I live now the two closest teams & the ones that are on TV the most are the Titans & Falcons. Hardly anyone around here roots for those teams (market is college driven & folks have a tendency to root for teams that have players that went to their school). Even if they were very successful I doubt that many folks would jump on the bandwagon. Just goes to show that there are numerous factors in this era that determine why folks root for a given team.
