Personally I believe that all these 1st round early picks have Raw talent and its up to your player development to turn this guy into a pro. Unless he gets into problems off the field the blame should be at the coaching staff in charge of preparing for the big leagues. Similar to Zunino I feel that he was rushed into the majors and had a lot of pressure put on him to be a great player

Guy just never made the transition to the majors after pitchers adjusted on him. He killed it in the minors... just never could make that switch to the majors. Always about halfway through a rooks MLB debut, pitchers/scouts adjust and figure out your weak spots. Up to the batter to then make that NEXT level adjustment. Ackley just never had that.

Yah that pissed me off. Team would be EXTREMELY deadly with a healthy Strasburg and the moves we've made this offseason. Hernandez/Strasburg and our line up now with Segura and a hopeful monster batter in Vogelbach?

Ackley, I think, is the prime example of how coaching was an issue. He did well in the minors and when he first got to the league and once the league adjusted either the staff or him never did anything with his stance. Kind of like when Saunders was having an issue with the staff so he went around them in the winter and was essentially punished for it.
