I think Stone Cold would have been a main event star. He was the ultimate "stick it to the Man" charisma that is still used today. He also had that, "What? What? What?" gimmick too.
I do agree with Mick Foley. He had great timing. The hardcore wrestling style is not as accepting as it was then. Of course, he would have been perfect for the WCCW in the Funk's heyday.
I disagree on Stone Cold. He was fired by WCW first. He wasn't the prototypical star Vince would promote. Vince's back was against the wall, they were getting killed by WCW, and he saw there was an organic reaction with Stone Cold and he was desperate enough to go with it.
It's Mania so I don't want to argue to much about this stuff. I was just dissapointed with some of the early booking. It's a long show.
I hope they have something big planned for the Wyatts
