kind of like every year you guys spew your "this is our year" and fall flat on your faces?

I don't do that. And I'm not saying that this year either. We'll see what happens. BTW, it hasn't been your year since 2010, so no need for such obnoxious cockiness. You didn't exactly steamroll the division on your way to losing in the playoffs last year, so the attitude really doesn't belong.

And why shouldn't we be cocky? Until somebody else steps up we are the king of the mountain in the North and have been for the last 20 some years

You've won the division 11 times out of the last 20. Nice job, but you aren't the Patriots.

Yea because if Rodgers doesn't get hurt it would have came down to week 17. We surely would have still went 2-4-1 with him playing. Come on be real. It would have been locked up by week 13 and you know it.

And you have gotten your ass kicked that whole time. Congrats you're the Jets. They have one more ring in that time so not too far off

And we weren't depleaded? Gimme a break. And what does it say about your team when we basically gift wrapped the division with a nice big bow for you and you crapped the bed? Oh that's right...you were "depleaded". Look at the amount of insane injuries we have had in the last 4 or so years....don't talk to me about depleaded.

One of the reason the injuries hit the Packers so hard last year wasn't just because of injuries themselves. Every team has injuries, you guys were hardly alone in that respect. Try ripping the entire inside defense away from a team and see what happens (2013 Bears). The reason the Packers (and the Bears) struggled so much after the injuries is that our rosters are thinner nowadays. The 2010 Packers won a SB with many injuries. That was a great team, they were deep. The Packers haven't drafted as poorly as we have in the last decade, but you've come close, and now your roster reflects that. Rosters are 53 guys deep. People make fun of my because I don't evaluate "the 22 starters" when comparing teams, but you HAVE to. Players get hurt. Injuries can explain things, sure, but it happens.

I actually think the entire North division is in a very mediocre place right now on paper. Very different rosters, I think the Bears and Packers have pretty strong "first 22" guys but their overall rosters are very thin. The Lions are a little worse - to my eyes, in the first 22, but are also kind of thin. I think the Vikes have somewhat lamer starters but better depth throughout their 53. But all in all, I think we are behind the entire NFC West. Even the Rams. Maybe our coaches rock the house this year, or maybe this year's draft classes work out better for North teams, or maybe we are lucky and escape injury, but sitting here right now, I'm betting our divisional record for all 4 teams winds up below .500.

your team didn't overwhelm me last year. Sorry, it just didn't, even with Rodgers. It doesn't make any difference, it's over, you wouldn't have won the Super Bowl either way and we wouldn't have made the playoffs either way. But your team did not dominate. You were better than we were, but considering how horrific our defense was, that's really not saying anything. Our defense was WORSE than the Jets.

And hey I didn't even have to resort to blaming Cutler's injuries on our lack of the playoffs. You know why? Because I'm not a pussy and I don't blame injuries. I blame years of inadequate drafting depleting the roster's talent.

Kind of hard to judge our last 2 or 3 drafts when basically everyone of them has been on the IR. I get what you are saying and if these guys end up being injured the whole times then yea....those.drafts have sucked. But don't go judging a draft until we have seen a good sample size.

The fact you even compare losing Cutler to losing Rodgers is all I need. Thanks

Thanks. I never expected our team to win a Super Bowl. I expected a division title and got it. Like I said before.....The Bear fan excuse is "well if you didn't have Rodgers" well we didn't and you still couldn't get it done. Last year was last year. The talk on this board is you are better. I have heard it all before. We got Cutler. We got Martz. We got Marshall. We got defense. Until you prove it on the field you are Canada to our America. Don't talk about it....be about it.

Dude, forget it. I never ever said something like "We got Martz." Frankly, I haven't picked the Bears to win the division in years. The whole putting other people's words into my mouth thing is a tired, sad tactic. Hey dude, do you want me putting some of the idiotic shit dumbass Packer fans say into your mouth? No, you don't? Then don't do it to me. Keep doing it, and you can go fuck yourself.

Did I ever once name you? But you automatically assumed I expected a Super Bowl when you made your post. Sorry to the cool Bears fans here that this idiot represents you.

What Bears fans say this shit you accuse all of us of saying? Lol, I've never heard this stuff you pawn off on the entire fan base.

I don't think you get what we're saying… Narrowly beating the 2013 Bears does NOT make you a good football team. lol

And who the hell is saying you don't have the right to think you're a better team. No one is saying that, you're correct until we prove it. That's not the point… the point is that you're sleeping on an entire division, and acting like you have it locked up in June. Which is not smart.

Not sure whom you speak of because most people on here don't over exaggerate when they pick the wins and losses of the Bears.

No, I didn't assume that at all. But I do think you are hugely overstating the degree to which you have owned the division, so much so that - going back to the original point - you actually posted a topic that you don't really need to worry about any of the other North opponents, that you don't even need to "care". Hey, look, I can only hope the Packers "don't even need to care" about the rest of the North this year. They aren't good enough to have that attitude.

The Packers have been the best team over the last 20 years, and they've done more in the playoffs, no kidding. But they haven't been the New England Patriots either. THAT'S "owning" a division, and it demeans the word if used carelessly. Last year's Packers were a good team, not a great one, and they were and remain pretty beatable.

I hate Packer fans. They always act as though their team is a dynasty. Yeah, they've won the NFC north a few times and a Super Bowl several years ago, but there's a changing of the guard coming. The new coaching and front office in Chicago has the team looking better and better each year while the packers continue to look more and more vulnerable each year.

Aaron Rodgers, tired of being pegged as gay, has started a public relationship with Olvia Munn. Some think its a direct competition with Cutler and his celebrity wife since they are such good friends . I'm thinking if Aaron has a bad year, those fans are gonna want him to go back to the pole. Jessica Simpson almost ruined Romo's relationship with his fans, I dont think this is gonna be much different.

I have and again...when we have basically owned the division for the last 20 years why wouldn't we be cocky?t.

Because other teams improvement is 100% an aside to what the Packers do. The past successes means that in addition to remaining a good team, the other teams in the division didnt improve enough to overtake. The latter, which the Packers have no control over is why its not a good idea for the fan base to be cocky heading into a new season.

Lets take the recent Packers history with the 49ers. Both teams have remained very good the last few years, but the Packers didnt improve enough from 2012 to beat them last season. Would you discount the Packers chances of beating the 49ers this season only because they havent been able to win against them recently??
Maybe Im wrong, but Id think youd take issue from a 49er fan making that claim.

Nope, that would be me. I'm saying this coming year will be difficult for the Packers because of the improvements on the Bears' D. JMO. I think the NFCN is the Bears to win or lose.
