Lol, if you are unable to even admit, that there exists a pocket of clueless, shock value statement, argumentative hawks fans, it's hard to have a discussion about it.

Opinions are just that, opinions. That one is mine.

Huh what a response, well no not one because i bet you do not know ONE Hawk fan,,,case closed it was just a homer jab statement out of nowhere that could apply to any fanbase.

I don't know if there is a team that could beat the team Seattle had on display last night.

Perhaps 90% of Seahawks fans that weren't Seahawks fans before Holmgren turned that thing around are the Seahawks fans that typically annoy fans of other teams? Perhaps 90% of Seahawks fans these people have encountered whom are not from that area or have ties there, are the ones that folks find obnoxious?

Anytime you have a team doing good you have the one's that will jump onto them in some forum etc just to troll, look at all the hate troll's us Hawk fans have put up with.

Just watch,no it is happening Hawk's jersey sales are third nationwide now so people gravitate towards that, nothing wrong with it imo but some of those same people i bet would say "SheHawks" etc but now they own a DangeRuss jersey and will get on some forum and talk smack while their Kaepernick or RG3 jersey gathers dust in the closet.

Many Hawk fans on this forum i know by handle for five years at ESPN,or more.

I hope it tones down some of stupid comments etc that are just BS,yah know like "All of these rude Seahawk fans" when you also hear "When has there ever been any Hawk fans?" it is amazing how stupid people sound.

Being a Lions fan I often find myself pulling for teams that aren't part of the usual suspects. Glad to see the "little" guy making some noise. Good luck the rest of the way, unless of course the Lions find some way to cross their path.

Impressive game and win last night for the Seahawks. Definitely looking good as a NFC SB contender.

Never minded hawks fans until recently. Always liked the underdog and Seattle was that for many years. And let me clarify, many hawks fans are fine. But the ones that are not, are so obnoxious, they taint the perception of good fans, IMO.

I would also offer that I was equally disgusted with OTT skins fans last year regarding Griff. Doesn't do any favors for any fan base having fans like that.

Hopefully we can win you over Caliskinsfan. Your remark about being disgusted with some Redskins fans has me thinking, how much of this behavior caused by being trolled unmercilessly by trolls of teams that have had a better team for years? Getting beat over the head with their (the trolls) team success. So when the Redskins finally have a better team, some fans are going think now it's my turn, no mercy. I think that plays into it some what.

You seem like a classy guy, so I hope we can win you over.

You make a very valid point Harold and I think it plays a part of my opinion regarding some hawks posters. Believe me, as a skins fan, I know all about supporting a team that for many years has had little relevance. And defending a franchises' and teams' honor through good and bad times.

Once again, I'd like to repeat, I never said many or all hawks posters anywhere, in any post.

I saw many heated, keyboard warrior fights that included both hawk and skins (and NFC east) fans last year on Disney. Too much of which lacked substance and heaped abuse. Left a really bad taste in my mouth. Some of that was a natural result of all the rookie QB talk. A lot of it was OTT.

Thanks for your comment. What impresses me most is performance on the field. And Seattle is looking very good. GL down the road.

The mere fact that you ONLY responded to a portion of my original post and ignored the fact that I said Seattle was looking very strong in the MNF game was noted by me. I mentioned a few hawks fans were irksome, while simultaneously noting those same style skins posters also irked me.

You dismiss there are any troll hawks posters. It's all me, I guess. Ok, sounds reasonable to me.

Doublejive when battling Breaker we have no problem telling him how much better the Seahawks are then his frigging 49ers. Why not? He certainly didn't have a problem bragging about the 49ers the last few years, right?
However that back and forth with Breaker leads to exaggerating. For example earlier Briz made a thread "are you scared Seahawks fans" and I predicted that the 49ers were cooked after losing to the Seahawks and Colts. I did it to piss Breaker off. Plain and simple, but that kind of prediction can look bad to other posters on SportsHoopla, because it is presumptuous. I was just messing with Breaker, but I can certainly understand others thinking WTF.

At this point I have no issues with Seahawk fans, but if the win their first Lombardi we will have to see. A Lombardi earned has a weird way of drawing out the worst of fans in a fanbase. I saw it happen with the Pats. You start getting fans that will agrue until blue in the face even though they know they are wrong, they are biased and impossible to tolerate.

Every fan base has its bad apples. We know for a fact that we have a solid fan base and hopefully many will continue to be humble even if we do win the SB this year.

Here's the thing and you know me i don't mind some smack talk etc and yes we all went through Breaker and his butt buddy threelittlebirds and about a dozen others that had nothing to discuss really and well I wont even go over it all.

But what get's me is people who sit behind a computer and type stupid little remarks day after day or snarky so called non troll post (It's easy to see through and the intention) and never discuss the game, either they are utter losers with far too much time on their hands or are kids and I dont have the time for either, thus why my ignore list will be expanding i already had pumpkinhead on it but removed it to see that stupid post about CLink and the 12th man which he looked like a fool and then the discussion went into Slayer and Metallica,,come on man lol.

I understand this as a Bengals fan. Steelers fans have been unbearable for a long time. I can't say that if the Bengals ever win a SB I won't rub it in some Steelers fans faces.

Having read and posted on message boards for a number of years now, I have read quite a few comments and discussions about the general characteristics of the individual fans of various teams. Those discussions always seem kind of silly to me, since people obviously vary in terms of how nice, funny, knowledgeable, etc. they are. Hard for me to imagine that there is systematic variation in those traits with what team a person roots for.

Thanks. Being a diehard Seahawk fan since `78 and a season ticket holder since `87, a Lombardi has to be earned and many of us Seahawk fans believe this is our year. We know wierd things can happen to derail us but we have survived every flipping hurdle thrown at us so far.

Many hate us and that is your right, but this fan base is rock solid and it has definately earned the right to hoist the Lombardi. If not this year it should happen soon as we have a large window presently.

I know many Hawk fan still hate us, (we're not giving it back so get over it...lol) but I have no issues with SEA...win 1 of these next 2 and homefield will be locked up and I really like your chances to play in the SB this year.

Window...you are so right but it's getting ready to change quickly...having a 3rd rd QB (with an extremely low cap #) perform at such a high level allows you guys to spend a lot more on other players, such as Avil, Clemons, and Thomas, etc. but the contracts for Sherman, and RW, and several others are on the horizon and the reality of the hard cap will hit.

Yep, I'm pretty sure you guys are keeping the XL Lombardi, LOL.

No doubt the cap will penalize us for drafting as well as we do. Hawk fans know that some of our stars will leave for the highest bidder, yet we have shown a great ability to reload and reload fast with Pete at the controls. So, if Mr. Rooney or anyone else wants to give Sherm $90 M for 7 years, I hope we get a Christmas card from Richard during the holidays.

In my world we must keep RW and ET. Don't get me wrong, I wish to keep this rock solid team together but I have trust that Pete will keep the talent coming.
