 College football bowls are all about cash. And you want a top 10 NFL pick not to think about HIS cash over a meaningless bowl?

With that attitude, college football is a meaningless sport. How much money did Cook make for his regular season games?

Pretty sure ALL of these schools show that it's all about money. But when 1 top 10 pick that's played hurt alot this year against 8 in the box with a shitty QB and has nothing left to show scouts decides to be "all about cash" he's out of his mind..

The Citrus bowl :violin: You think LSU fans give a fuck about the Citrus bowl?
Winning is winning. I bet you LSU fans still want to win.

Cook is playing against a stout D. Not sure what kind of Dalvin we will see, but the College bowl season is all about cash. You can't blame a top 10 pick for not wanting to risk injury. It's a meaningless game. Regular season is not meaningless.

Meaningless.. Not meaningless

Time to figure out how to win with another RB. LSU fans also know the Citrus bowl is a meaningless game

It's not just bowl season that's about cash, so is every other game. How much did cook make for the Miami game? Clemson game?

U might be right on that but in my opinion I dont like to see what some of these kids are doing. U really are letting your team mates down/school. U should want to play your last game with them. I dont know maybe im old school. I loved going to war with my guys. my last game in college baseball is something I will always remember.

Same can be said about the bowl game and for your school.

Same can be said how? That a big game is going to get him a bigger contract when he is drafted? I hope you're joking. If Leonard Fournette and his agent were to sit down at the table with an NFL team and say "well we want more money bc he rushed for 200 yards and 3 TDs in the Citrus bowl" that team laughs at him. Now change citrus bowl to Super Bowl and that team says how many zeroes are we talking about

Exactly. The entire sport generates alot of cash so you can't expect a player with top 10 credentials to not think about cash.

No one is talking about the regular season bud.. Look at the thread. It's bowl season now. Cook played the regular season and FSU came up short of the playoff.

But Cook made alot of money from the Clemson game. He went off and if Jimbo keeps running the rock, Clemson loses.

christian mccaffery passing on the sun bowl.....let the flood gates open
Its a new age. Kids arent as passion as they were back in the day or even recent time. Its just like how the NBA is soft now and friends want to play with friends instead of competing against the best to earn that championship. The new age players want the easy way out.(some not all)

I get the old school mentality, but what are these top programs teaching their kids really?? Cash cash cash

Can't blame a player for finally getting paid when their school is getting ridiculously paid.

You think I liked it when Jalen Ramsey took it easy in the bowl game last year? You think I really cared that FSU got blasted by Houston?

If you want to stop this, stop letting agents talk to players after the regular season.

Yes and 1 year is better than Zero. I'd love to see a must attend 2 years of college bball. But college bball is way better than college football because 64+ teams get in the tourney. Bad part of college bball is some of these players talk to agents before they even get on campus in the fall.

I definitely feel you on that one but with basketball for me. But neither you nor I had the opportunity to lose tens of millions of dollars in that last game.

Jaylon Smith just last year. I don't blame Fournette one bit

Mike and Mike said it best this morning: LSU is not gonna reimburse him the millions he could lose in the draft if he gets injured in what amounts to a meaningless exhibition game.

We're talking about permanent, life changing money. To risk throwing it all away for "school pride" would be ill advised.

I think it should be either enter after high school or if you pick College u need to stay for 2 years or go over seas for 1 year. I think that is how baseball is.

Don.t let the door hit you in your ass on the way out.

Wow. Now here is one fan who didn't deserve the pleasure of watching Fournette play for LSU.

that is very true. Look Im a ND fan i saw what happen to J. Smith but he knew how important ND and his team mates were and played. He was smart enough to take out insurance and yes he got hurt but he also got paid. Did he lose some money yes. He even said he doesnt regret it because he wanted to be out there with them.

Fournette is far from being the clear #1 RB.

D'Onta Foreman and Dalvin Cook are certainly very solid options for teams.

McCaffrey...
