The Devil's advocate here........OLBs that can rush the passer may be more rare, but we seem to do a better job at finding those guys than WRs. For whatever reason, our team has a blind spot to finding WR1 or even WR2 talent. Trading or a FA may be our only option for that position.

I'm not sure I get it. We pick Montana, and trade for Young, and we haven't had a difference maker since. We pick Rice and Owens and have had 1 thousand-yard season out of a receiver since Owens left.

My enthusiasm for Kaep has significantly cooled since last season. Case in point: when you're scrambling behind the LOS, don't run out of bounds. Throw the fucking ball away. I wouldn't do this trade. Aldon has had his share of off the field issues, but he is an elite pass rusher. Baalke did strike out with the Jenkins pick, but I want to see how Patton develops. I also want to see what receivers the Niners select in the upcoming draft and how they develop.
