 I saw that after I posted this. It figures the thread was posted by a Pens fan. Your day will come:)

Good news is that if there was a year to suck this is the year. Amazing draft class in 2015 :suds:

I'd do something. The Flyers need to do one of two things, both if possible, in any trade: Shed bad contracts & get draft picks. Stating the obvious I guess...

Easier said than done tho. The players they want to get rid of have contracts no one would want to take on. On top of that they got their hands tied with the cap so improving the team will also be tricky.

I think the only thing they could do to change things up is to fire Berube, but not sure if that will make much of a difference (I think they have a personnel problem more than a coaching problem).

Personally think the best thing for the Flyers to do is ride things out & allow their young talent to develop, maybe get some good draft picks in the meantime.

We'll see tho.

So Chief benches MacDonald-good move,play Carlo C.
But benching Bellmare before Umberger?

I think CC should lay and let the turn over machine Coburn get some more practice time. Frenchie, if nothing else works hard, hits and looks like he isn't giving up. With so many worthy healthy scratches, he wasn't one of them. I read that Chief said he is having trouble adjusting to the NHL style game. I wish that was the excuse for Vinny, Umberger, etc.

the turnovers on defense are ridiculous right now. the flyers cant build anything because the defense, especially Coburn and macdonald, are basically feeding it to opponent's point men. chip it hard off the wall or slap it down the ice. it's not that hard. why are you passing to the dmen on the other team? you'd be better off just holding on to the puck and getting stripped, at least that takes a second rather than just teeing it up for them to cycle some more.

Yeah it's unacceptable - the same shit has been going on game after game now

I think it's almost a case where the Flyers have to just flat out subtract in order to add - getting rid of guys might help get the bad taste away from this team - when Braydon Coburn and A-Mac were hurt this team was so much better because guys weren't turning the puck over and they were playing a more team-oriented defensive style of play - I can't believe I'm saying this but I miss when MDZ and Nick Schultz were the best two d-men, they were playing really well together and when 5 and 47 got back, it flat out screwed the defensive pairings and took all chemistry away

Nashville assigned LW Viktor Stalberg to the AHL. He's battled injuries this season, but is only 28 and is signed for 2 more years after this one at $3 mil per year. He hasn't played well in Nashville, but did prior with Chicago. Any interest if he's fallen out of favor with the Preds? Would you consider sending Vinny for him if Nashville were still interested? They're looking for potential top 6 forwards.

Interesting. Bylsma is a good (not great) coach whose time was up in Pitt, just like Lavy here. I'd prefer Disco Dan over another overmatched former Flyer.

pretty much this.

and I think Bylsma is probably the best coach on the market right now.

but Berube yells at them so good!

In truth Berube isn't really the problem, the question is whether or not he can ever be part of the solution. (Insert name of best coach ever here) couldn't win regularly with this D.
