I've been put on ignore by Charlie a couple of times. At least he "claimed" I was on ignore before accidentally responding to one of my posts. I called him out on it and he claimed he'd removed me from his ignore list.

He claims he put me 'back' on ignore a few days ago.

I'm crushed.
Even if you ignore someone, you see that they posted. Sometimes you just want to see what the dickhead typed.

Hard to pick just one, but this one is probably it.

Huge Tom Osborne fan. But, that was one of the dumbest calls ever made. Tie and you win the NC. You go for two. Yikes.

Seriously, I met Tom in the RDU airport a few years ago ... had a chance to talk to him for about 15 minutes. Great guy.

For Texas, i think the 2008 game vs TTU was worse than colt getting hurt. The 2008 team was the best in the country, but that little hiccup in lubbock ruined the season.

I think it was BYU last year. You just watched and you knew it was over. Mack was dead man walking. Diaz was gone. Staff was fighting on the sidelines. It was a complete embarrassment and you were not even mad, all you could do was shake your head. It wasnt a bad break, it wasnt game planning, it was just pure incompetence at every level. The cumulation of 3-4 years of laziness and entitlement being exposed. I was watching and just felt sorry for the kids and Mack. You just knew careers were over and it was an end of an era. I thought it was time for Mack to go, but you didnt want it to end like that. The other instances there was hope that something could work out or "next yr" the run will start anew. Even if it was delusional hope.

2 come to mind. 1985 Iowa comes into the Rose Bowl ranked 4th against an overmatched UCLA. Iowa turns the ball over 6 times and loses, meanwhile the #1, #2 and #3 teams ALL lose as well and 5th ranked Oklahoma claims the national title. Then of course 2009 when unbeaten Iowa is well on their way to spanking NW holding a 10-0 1st quarter lead when leader and QB Ricky Stanzi is injured. Iowa drops their next 2 games in heartbreaking fashion before Stanzi returns for the Orange Bowl and crushes GT. That Iowa team goes 13-0 if Stanzi doesnt go down.

I wasn't around back then, but I agree with the call. You play to win the game. Leave no doubt. Anyways, I'd say this was the worst that I can remember.

If Osborne would have kicked the extra point, settled for the tie, and Nebraska been awarded the national championship. Every time a Husker fan would include 1983 in their list of national championships, it would be thrown in their face that Osborne was too 'gutless' to go for the outright win.

Miami won the game 31-30 thus winning the national championship. That is the way it is and should be.

Overall, the promotion of Mike Hamilton to UTK Men's AD in 2003. He may be a great fundraiser, but the damage he did to Tennessee's men's athletics programs and financial health is so extensive, Tennessee will be decades recovering

I completely agree. That was a great offense. You had Rozier, Fryar, Gill, Steinkuler, and I thought Rathman at FB. It would have been looked at very poorly if Tom decided to go for the tie. Not sure anyone remember the "Tie Dye" Sugar Bowl. That was one of the worst endings in Bowl History and Dye took a beating in the press for that.

The Puntrooski that Florida State had over Clemson in Death Valley in 1988. Lee Roy Butler took the snap and ran it to the Clemson four yard line. I was there. And I was mad as hell. 24-21.

But I was also there the following season, when Clemson got payback in Tallahassee. 34-23. Hot as hell that night. But it was fun.

Man, I'd love see that play where someone hit McCoy harder than Marcell did. Give credit where credit is due. He knocked the piss out of him.He nearly broke him into. His head snapped violently in a direction it wasn't meant to go in. The force of the blow left McCoy, a 300+ pound Texas o-lineman, a 300 pound Bama d-lineman and a 225 Bama linebacker in a heap. OP is correct. What idiot runs his 6 foot nothing, 180 pound nothing QB into the heart of the most physical defense in the country?

I watched the whole season and Colt took a pounding. Sometimes it's not how hard you get hit but where and in what position was your body. He took some really hard hits during the year. This was not one of the top 5.
