Why did he add 1918? I know it is the first time the Red Sox won the WS at home since 1918, but mentioning 1918 doesn't seem to carry the same weight as it did in 2004.

I'm not a tattoo guy and I think his looks dumb but I wouldn't call an athlete getting a World Series tattoo nuts. I think it's better then his generic nautical star tat right above it.
